  1. Finally, some fire in their bellies.
  2. Quality post. The more I read your posts, the more I'm coming around to your way of thinking on a lot of this.
  3. Maybe. It's a play they've been using on the PP that has worked this season. I think Sheary got a goal that way.
  4. Right, that's it. However, RR was making the case that KO should have passed it to Samson rather than shoot it, because what they're trying to do is pass it around first to open up the other side of the net.
  5. huh. I guess he would have been to slow to get into position then, if that's the case. Seems probable.
  6. You think Reino messed up his positioning on that one shot where they made a deal out of Okposo's reaction?
  7. When it comes to performing, it's all but impossible to perform at your best "cold". As a musician, I will warm up for as long as possible before a show. To me, the Sabres always look "cold" and unprepared when they start like that.
  8. I'd have to go back and find your assessments on this matter - which I won't, so I hope you can supply a brief brief - but from the two periods I watched last night their ES weakness was very apparent. Our top line does not like to shoot. I almost think that, despite the chemistry (which only works when the line is "on"), the first move HCPH should make when a game is going like it was last night is to swap Skinner and Sheary. At least with Skinner on the top line there would be one player who likes to shoot. I want to know what happened to Thompson - during preseason he was a dipsy-doodle-take-a-shot kind of player which I liked. Other than "he's playing against NHL caliber defenses" I wonder what's going on there. I wonder if these guys get mixed messages about taking shots.
  9. I'm going to watch the next period, but I won't be posting. Suffice to say, the game is already lost if it continues like this. Hope someone has a good locker room speech.
  10. Now the game is not boring, at least. Weird, and sloppy still, but not boring.
  11. Vegas sucks. I mean, the city and being there sucks. While it's no excuse for a highly compensated hockey team, I would play sloppy having been in Vegas for a couple of days prior. Still, the Sabres look sloppy and unfocused right now.
  12. Me too. Something more happened there.
  13. There is a gap in the audio. Sean is definitely not in studio. The creaking sound is on his end and there is nothing in the GR studios that makes that kind of noise (sounds like a gooseneck mic stand).
  14. Yay, hockey! Oi, 10pm.
  15. It's a 20 second delay.
  16. I guess this is random...I'm a little not happy there isn't Sabres hockey tonight. ?
  17. That just makes them greedy, white Christian men. Of course you knew that without it being spelt out for ye. ?
  18. There is when you are casting judgement, this stuff wouldn't be a conversation if it weren't the basis of judgement. Is it "right" or is it "wrong". That's pretty binary.
  19. Even with the NHL stats/game tracker, it seems like it would take an enormous effort per game to capture that. In order not to miss something, my guess is that there would need to be at the least a three-person team, and there's have to be some coordination like "I got that hit" so the others keep watching and the next person records the next action - "I got that shot" - while the prior person is still writing down the hit and so on. Some data would be missed or inaccurate no matter what system is in place.
  20. Yes, we had this discussion before. I don't necessarily disagree with it. However, the "white" word has been injected into this, again, here on the board. It's an ugly charge and the implication goes beyond the implied religious bias. What I really don't like about the conversation here is that it is danced around...sort of a "you know..." understanding rather than people directly stating what it is they're referring to.
  21. Because the Bills management and coaching staff are obviously white, Christian folk and prefer white, Christian folk on the team and on their staffs? And they will, as much as possible, fulfill this vision of a white-as-possible, Christian-as-possible football organization? I just want to make sure this is what you're saying. Is this a "you're smarter than this..." response, AKA an evasion to actually stating the answer? Because I want to know the answer. I'm not "smarter than that."
  22. We have a goalie tandem.
  23. Nice, Skinner...finally!
  24. Confidence building? He seems to be all about that.
