Don’t need to tell you guys about the flaws of +/-.

But within that context it does give you some indication of how successful a player has been in his role and relative to his team.

On a team that is -7, 20-year-old Nikita Novikov is +19, far and away the best on the Amerks.

He has 23 points in 62 games.

No idea what the underlying metrics and eye test is saying, but the numbers look promising.

Mattias Samuelsson had 12 points in 23 games as a 20-year-old rookie, and was -8 on an inferior Amerks team.

Novikov made a beautiful play on Kulich’s 2nd goal yesterday. Good move to get around a defender, drawing attention, and then making a sweet dish to Kulich alone at the net.

  2. I see Noah Laaouan got his first point for the Amerks with an assist on Kulich’s goal, which was a beauty of a breakaway goal. Nice to see Kulich getting his game back just in time for the post season.

***** great. Yet another city that will have a parade before Buffalo.

On a side note, I think those 10 team NTC lists are f***** bull *****.

And does this finally put to bed the fears of the Sabres relocating?! Good lord.

    Fearless bull riders?

It was an interesting combination of Sabres on the ice at the time. Dahlin with Cliffy? Tage and Greenway plus whoever the 5th skater was? Maybe a bit premeditated on someone's part? May just have been the usual 6 on 5 defense.

Had to laugh about OV just milling around by himself 10 or 12 feet from the scrums. No interest in being involved. I suppose with the numbers he had no dance partner, though.

Did I just talk myself out of a good conspiracy theory?

Yeah, he milled around after grabbing Tage while Pacioretty already had a hold of him.

There is possible impact there are rumors that the Rochester Knighthawks are being sold to Grand Rapids, Michigan business interest that will move the Rochester Knighthawks there for next season. Also the Vegas Desert Dogs are moving from the Vegas strip to suburban Henderson, Nevada that was announced in other NLL lacrosse news. Once Terry Pegula gave up control of the Rochester Arena I figured this would happen. Terry Pegula is selling off his Rochester holdings to focus on Buffalo which is a wise business move. He is spread out to thin money wise. The Key Bank Center is going to cost Terry Pegula a fortune to renovate the arena it needs so many repairs. You can’t flip the Buffalo Sabres with the Key Bank Center looking like that, broken seats it’s a mess.

Terry Pegula isn’t going to get from New York State for arena like the Buffalo Bills stadium he going to have to fund more of that then he did the new Bills stadium. Rochester Americans I believe at some point will be sold the Rochester Knighthawks are just the beginning. Hopefully Rochester business interests step to the plate and buy the hockey team to save the team for the Rochester fans there.

This is what Terry Pegula and most owners do so he isn’t alone it’s business yet so many Western New York fans say no he is just a Buffalo fan he is different than other owners. No he isn’t different from any other owner. You sell unprofitable assets. We saw in Buffalo with Terry Pegula business holdings sold to new owners. Terry Pegula wants to make a quick buck with as little money going out of his own money as possible. That is what owners do. But I realize I am in the minority on Terry Pegula as an owner as a Buffalo sports fan. I have been suspended for 4 months from the Buffalo Bills Drive board because the young naive moderator can’t handle Buffalo fans like myself telling the truth about Terry Pegula. For Buffalo fans wondering why isn’t Buffalo Super Fan not posting on the Bills Drive board lately? I am fine and hopefully will be back when the moderator lifts my suspension on the Bills Drive site. I take the suspension with Buffalo fan pride because I spoke my opinion about a lot of things about Buffalo sports. I am not going to be bullied by a young naive Bills fan moderator that hasn’t lived enough Buffalo/Western New York life to really be aware what is going on. I am not fan of today’s generation of canceling and using position of power to get fans to basically be afraid to speak up just conform to group think of everyone. I wasn’t raised that way and I clearly write every posts it’s my own opinion. You don’t like what I post don’t read my posts pretty simple concept.

Next Buffalo Bills and Sabres season will be special for me personally it marks I have been a Buffalo fan for 50 years. I still can’t believe it’s been 50 years supporting our Buffalo sports teams where has the time gone. Overtime Buffalo fans will see why did the Bills Drive moderator suspended Buffalo Super Fan for telling my own personal opinion? I am not alone and as time goes on more Buffalo fans will come to see what I see on Terry Pegula. Terry Pegula isn’t one of us fans the acting job he put on day one of buying the Buffalo Sabres have Western New York fans brain washed he is the greatest one of us just a fan. Good luck with that naive fantasy in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Buffalo

You’ve been a fan for only 50 years? Rookie.

    Can we start with Dunleavy?

Please! He can’t describe the action worth a damn. At least the viewing audience can see what he’s missing, but the radio listeners have little idea what’s actually happening on the ice. He too often goes a few seconds with no description and in hockey, that’s an eternity.

I’m looking forward to his new contract announcement.  I’ll be the first to post it with some expletives in the OP.  I guess this is what fans do but I see no indication he’s leaving Carolina.

I fully understand there’s less than a snowball’s chance and I’m not delusional, but he hasn’t re-signed with Canes as of yet, so let a man dream in the meantime, would ya?

In my opinion, hopefully not.  I want someone more dynamic and athletic.  But we’ve seen Beanne draft for a position of need and talking next best before.  After missing out on McDuffie he went next best and took Elam.
Coleman is essentially a better Gabe Davis.  Better route running.  Better catching.  Much better after the catch.  And their athletic profile is basically the same.  I’ll let you decide who is who.

i don’t necessarily prefer Coleman.  But I do believe he is in play for a Beanne if he stays at 28 or possibly trades down a little.

Coleman was mocked to us in a mock or two a couple months ago and I wouldn’t rule him out entirely.

  9. CBS latest mock has us trading down with Carolina and taking McConkey with the first pick in the 2nd round. Nothing against McConkey who is gonna be a good pro, but he’s not quite what we need at wideout currently. That said, he would give us what we’ve been missing since Beasley and that’s a guy who sees the game like a QB both pre and post snap.
