  1. Those little round white dots in the pic above are the dolphins.
  2. They’re there, but highly ineffective.
  3. Bridge had 185 feet of clearance above the water so there was plenty of room for the Dali to pass under it.
  4. The danger is becoming deaf to the point of ignoring it completely. We are reliving the 1930s but there are more outlets for the mass dissemination of their lies and propaganda. It is a clear and present danger to our democracy and it is our duty to stay vigilant.
  5. Thomas won’t be there at 28 and neither of those two edge guys is worth the pick, imo, but if they insist on grabbing one, I’d rather have Robinson. But given the scarcity of edge rushers in this draft, he may not be there as well.
  6. The bridge design itself was fine, but the dolphins placed in the water to protect the piers from impact weren’t designed to handle the sheer size of modern day vessels compared to the ships in the 70s.
  7. Glad Quinn is deemed healthy enough to return to the lineup, but realistically, how much can we expect from him after a two month layoff? My bet is not very much.
  8. The Dali weighs 95,000 tons when empty. It had 4,700 containers on board and while we will have to wait for the official manifest records to be released, media reports yesterday were that the ship weighed 155,000 tons when it left port. In an interview, a ship pilot said that even at the slow 9mph it was traveling at the time would, it have needed a couple miles to come to a stop. Talk about inertia.
  9. I understand your point.
  10. I doubt they are letting salary dictate where Cozens plays. Right or wrong, good or bad, he’s one of our two best centers currently and the construction of the current team is dictating where he plays.
  11. I can only wonder how many actually believe this shameless crap because the fascist movement currently underway in this country is dependent on on the mass dissemination of lies they propagate. https://www.thedailybeast.com/newsmax-and-fox-news-pundits-blame-bridge-collapse-on-open-border-and-covid-lockdowns
  12. I chortled and bordered on a guffaw.
  13. We are just too easy to play against. Lots of reasons for that, but it’s just doesn’t matter at this point. I’m just so sick of watching the same lazy, stupid hockey more often than not.
  14. Dumb play by Byram not to shoot there.
  15. I’ve always liked the way the Calgary ice looks on TV. Joker has made a crap pass on every shift so far.
  16. It’s not like saying that in the least. Was he sufficiently challenged enough to improve the facets of his game that needed improvement most by playing in a league that clearly didn’t challenge him enough? The WHL was too easy for him and he would have been better served by being able to stay in the A. But never mind as we’ve been down this road before and I have no interest in rehashing the subject. We disagree. ‘Nuff said.
  17. Houser with back to back good performances in net. Hope he can hold the fort until Levi gets back.
  18. He’d be the perfect coach for the next phase in our development. And Skinner would never see the lineup, his big contract be damned. Pegs and KA should put in a full court press if he becomes a free agent.
  19. Taking nothing away from his impressive accomplishment in the WHL this season, but I question how much a player can really improve his game in a league that couldn’t challenge him enough. I think his five points in six games in the A earlier this season is more reassuring to me that he is on the right developmental track.
  20. But that march to 9th place will be even more epic this time!
