I moved on the moment he left Buffalo. But his apologists need to stop offering up his community service as some sort of proof that he is a paragon of virtue. Especially when it’s routine for every player on the team to be involved in community efforts. He got his wish and was traded and it’s too bad he couldn’t let it go when he decided to trash the fan base. It was classless as I said.

Every player on the team does things for the community and good on Eichel and them for doing so. But I don’t hear those other players trashing the fans and the team. It’s a question of class.

I think @PromoTheRobotis merely pointing to an example of the bastardization of words and their meaning in modern culture. Regardless of the literal dictionary definition, words like mediocre have taken on negative connotations over the years. Ignorant is another such word, imo. Words and meanings evolve like everything else.

My favorite re-plating of an Eichel jersey was the homemade job I saw at the Sabres vs. Knights game in Jack’s return to KBC. Someone stuck a wide piece of white tape vertically next to the 9 and drew a 1 and taped over the nameplate and wrote “Krebs.” 😂
