  1. Thanks for the heads up. The Ice have had Regina’s number all season and Savoie seems to get up for playing Bedard, including his 3 goal, 3 assist night back in November. But this Ice team is loaded with great prospects, regardless. Well, you’re a couple days late with the news but thanks none the less.
  2. Well deserved. Anyone who’s been watching a lot of Amerks games has seen his progression and I’m not surprised in the least by him being named player of the week.
  3. I don’t think it’s Asplund falling, but other players rising. And Vinny just provides more of what we lost with Tuch being out. That said, I can see him getting a game or two if JJ keeps struggling and needs to watch from the press box.
  4. Passed with flying colors. I think the injury situation served to galvanize their resolve, the team leadership rose to the occasion, and the rest followed that lead.
  5. Yeah, several people have informed the forum, but thanks. Still, I don’t like the three headed goalie experiment and I think UPL would be best served by going back down.
  6. ESPN has it listed at 19,070, so it was a sellout.
  7. Right. Top five in the North division.
  8. This says it’s the top five this year: https://ukhockeyfan.co.uk/2022/07/22/ahl-announces-2022-23-schedule-divisional-alignment-and-playoff-format/
  9. He also took a nasty slash to the knee behind our net and it stung him. Didn’t see who the FLA player was though.
  10. Amerks potted another five goals today for 20 goals in their last three and sweep the always difficult three games in three days grind. Kulich with another goal as well.
  11. OK, take the Leafs game out and redo the numbers. Let us know what you come up with.
  12. In fine fashion, to boot.
  13. If only UPL could play in perfect conditions for 60 minutes each game. How unfair he must feel his job is because he’s asked to make a stop after breakdowns by his teammates. How about he develops better technical skills so he is in better position in the first place. As others have said, you can have poor play in front of the goalie AND poor goaltending; it’s not a one or the other proposition.
  14. I readily admit that. What you’re not admitting is that EVERY goalie in the league has to deal with poor D play and other gaffes by his teammates at times and yet they don’t all have below average goalie stats. UPL is a below average goalie currently and I don’t understand how anyone can be satisfied with that.
  15. Oh FFS, we all care very much about the poor defensive play and other gaffes that lead to goals, so you don't have to insult our intelligence by suggesting we don’t understand the team nature of the game and how it pertains to everything that happens on the ice. But every goalie in the league has to contend with these issues at times and they don’t all have well below average GA averages and save percentages. If UPL needs perfect play from his teammates at all times in each game just to achieve average goalie status, then that only underscores how much he isn’t ready to be an NHL number one. OK, this time I mean it. I really won’t engage any further UPL debate. 😂
  16. Sure worked today, that’s for sure. Can’t see Donny G breaking them up as a result.
  17. Nope. When you have to average 4 goals a game to get a win for your goalie, your goalie is indeed that bad. But you’ve made a liar out of me because I wasn’t gonna indulge your UPL fantasies. I’ll try not to let that happen again. Enjoy the crusade in the meantime.
  18. Yep. It’s just a shame that we have to give up fewer than four when sieve boy is between the pipes.
  19. Every leader on this team stepped up today in a big way and the rest of the boys followed that lead. And don’t look now, but it appears Quinn is figuring it out.
  20. Yep. Only took a minimum of five goals scored. I refuse to indulge your UPL crusade any more.
  21. Yeah, @Taro Texplained that to me yesterday. That said, it’s time to end the goalie experiment.
  22. With the Tuch injury especially. It’s time to end the three goalie experiment, send UPL down and keep Vinny.
  23. Heading into today, he’s also minus 13 with that production on a team with a plus 14 goal differential. No matter how you slice it he is a defensive liability that just doesn’t produce enough to offset that.
