The difference is, of course, that Kane can actually play and hopes to end his career in Buffalo some day although. It likely now.
-
Speaking of “quite some time,” when was last time they got the ball with 7:11 left and ran out the clock?
-
Yeah, probably right.
-
But if they played Bama tough they still would have probably been final four, especially if ND loses to Clemson. Now it’s most assuredly Clemson, Alabama, ND and Ohio State if Clemson wins and Alabama, ND, Ohio State and either USC or Texas A & M if Clemson loses. All apologies to Cincinnati.

Now confirmed by several sources, both contracts run through 2025.
-
I think what everyone is trying to say is that they now run concurrently. Previously McDermott’s contract ended a year ahead. So BB’s extension would actually be one year less in order to properly align. Of course, I could be wrong.

Henry Ruggs was real useful for the Jets plan to draft Lawrence.

I have been saying for years that having your top 30 players being part of your team instead of having AHL affiliations was the way of the future. Its like owners are about to have their little real life experiment to find out.

Sabres Valued 28th out of 31 NHL Teams per Forbes

If that valuation is right, the franchise is worth more then double what they paid for it. All the Forbes numbers are guesses. -
Money

I think Borgen and Asplund are. The other two, you never know, sometimes lightning strikes.

You have to remember as well, while these guys are assets, they are also human beings. It’s nice to have depth in Rochester but if you don’t give these guys a chance to make the big club, they eventually want out, just like Pilut. Make no mistake, his departure had as much to do with money as opportunity.
-
It’s not just the start date, it’s the amount of flexibility the league might be willing to give the clubs with money in order to help clubs that would be better off not playing? There has been talk of eliminating the salary cap and floor for this season, allowing teams to sign up to ten guys for a taxi squad and only counting salaries of top 23..... A team like Arizona, they are going to dump salary, but right now they are waiting because why give away assets to get rid of contracts if say Toronto is allowed to add pieces without salary constraints? Obviously the return for Arizona becomes much greater.
-
Or they could just trade one(or two) of those three in a separate deal(s) to clear space and acquire the goalie from a team looking to dump salary. Teams are waiting for a definitive answer on what shape the season will take. There will be wholesale player movement once it’s decided.

Between Cozens development, Hall’s arrival and a likely Skinner rebound, a Dahlin third year jump and ___________ in goal, I don’t see how this team can’t contend in a shortened season.

You’ve grown very cynical in your old age.😜

Leipold is starting to get mentioned as a rising college coach. UB has become a good stepping stone for basketball coaches and AD’s and now may be becoming a football coach stepping stone.
-
They were all told before the season that games would be played if they had enough guys to play. Denver does. Baltimore doesn't.
-
Yep, it took Marks two carries from the 18 to score. Ross Tucker on the broadcast was hysterical. He was so disappointed. He wanted to be by able to say he called the game.
-
Leipold said he didn’t know he could have had both records if he left him in. Someone needs to tell a coach that.
-
One mock draft I saw had him falling into the 20’s so it wouldn’t be much.
-
Yes, but the insinuation has been made that he is more of a "football guy" so logic would seem to suggest that if he were going to meddle, it would be in football and not hockey.

Ty Dunne started his own venture and wrote an interesting piece on how much TPEGS wanted Mahommes and how he didn’t want to interfere with McDermott with the decision. I know PA’s head may explode but it’s a good read.
