History has shown that sports revenue isn’t always tied to real economic growth, but your point is taken.
-
This is good analysis except there have been whispers of the cap rate of increase not slowing till it hits $150M which obviously changes the numbers dramatically
-
People that I would trust with my life tell me this deal was done and than it wasn’t. My feeling, with no collaboration, is that NHLPA, is pushing these guys to reset the market. I think I posted earlier that there is talk of a $150M cap in the not too distant future and players don’t want to be making $9M when players start earning $20M.

We still have two tickets available and everyone is welcome to join us beforehand whether you buy a ticket from us, buy one on on your own or don’t plan on going to the game at all.
-
Like Taro said. It’s very good and if the weather is good, within walking distance
-
Taro and I are going to meet up at Union Pub before the game. We hope to be there around 11am. Everyone is welcome. All I ask is if you plan on eating you give me a heads up so I can let them know and hopefully get a table or two reserved. Thanks.

Update. We now have 6 paid tickets and 2 available.
-
You don’t know that for sure although the odds obviously are on your side
-
Don’t disagree with your take on Adams at all but you know as well as anyone on this board that after the top three to five goalies, no one can predict from year to year what’s going to happen. It’s the state of goaltending in the NHL. Since we brought up gambling, I’ll bet if you read the message board of every team in the league, twenty five have no idea how their goaltending is going to hold up,
-
I’ll take that bet.
-
I actually am pretty confident they make the playoffs this year, for the record. However, and more to the point, is that while I understand the skepticism and negativity, not everything they do is wrong or outside the norm for the league. Every team in the league goes into camp with only one or two roster spots open, all but about three to five teams would like to upgrade their goaltending, etc. etc.

This all just sounds like looking for something to complain about. Why do players have to play with different players to shine? If someone practices above expectations he’ll get noticed and given a chance. Besides, since the advent of contract guarantees and the salary cap, a well informed person can accurately predict 99% of any professional team’s opening day roster before training cap starts.

Unfortunately Bob has to bow out so we now have 4 - paid 2 - reserved 2 - available.
-
There is now talk of the cap doubling in the next five to eight years. Players, especially top tier players, are starting to see the benefit of shorter term deals. I was told that an eight year deal is basically done but Tuch’s agents would like a shorter deal. My guess is that Tuch blinks before the start of the season.

You know it’s not a Sabre thing. It runs through all professional sports. They see no competitive advantage to updating the numbers and therefore don’t do it.
-
We now have 3 - paid 3 - pending 1 - myself 1 - available
-
Just bumping this up. So far 1 ticket for myself 1 ticket paid 5 tickets with payment promised 1 ticket remains
-
Happy Birthday
-
So assuming nothing changes, I am down to one ticket. As others have said, anyone is welcome to join us for our pre and post game get together. Details to follow.
-
I will put you down for two. Do you still have my Venmo information?
-
I put him on the list. Three tickets left.
-
I’ll add you to the preliminary list. Thanks.
-
I know it’s antiquated but you can mail a check, meet up or use Venmo, PayPal or Zelle. I will hold tickets for ten days for anyone that needs alternative methods to pay. As of now, the eight tickets are allotted as such Myself Taro Bob Sauve Derrico

The cap will be $113.5M in two years and probably continue to skyrocket. $9M is the equivalent to $6.7M under last years cap. The contract will be fine when you calculate % of cap.
