I don't think Casey is going to come out of college yet. I think he spends the summer adding muscle and starts the season in Minnesota. If he's bigger and tearing it up I could see him coming straight to the Sabres then.
I was surprised by Pouliot not moving too, but if Edmonton put him on waivers and there were other JAGS available on waivers yesterday then I guess he didn't really have that much value comparatively.
I doubt it. Just because there's an established ask doesn't mean GM's simply don't make offers. If that is the case, then those GM's are idiots and some from Craigslist would do a better job.
Right. Every critic here appears to have been in the office with Botterill. You'd think we'd have known about the trade sooner with all these insiderrrrrrrs.
I think it's going to depend on his performance down the stretch and in the playoffs. If he really lights it up in the playoffs he could drive his value up.
Man, it was fun. Until it turned out to be way more accurate than we realized. Who knew you could be the GM of a team and also not have any idea what was going on with it? Revolutionary.
I'm looking forward to people bitching when Lehner walks for nothing because they're not going to qualify him and no one wants to trade for the right to do the same.
It helps to be dealing from a position of strength. Tampa has been good to great for a while now and I think that makes a difference. A good team is inherently made of players other teams are more willing to acquire in trade, and so they do.
