Our washer-dryer combo died on Sunday so the apartment complex brought us a new one today. But they hooked up the hot and cold water backwards. So now I have to have them come back out here and wrestle the stupid thing out of the nook it's in and switch the lines. Both of the spigots have blue valve handles but you'd think they would have checked the actual temp of the water coming out of them before hooking the thing up. I tried to take care of it myself but the one valve seems wonky and I'm not dealing with that. If this were my house...

We could offer him that, I doubt he takes it. He'll take us to arbitration and we'll just let him go anyway. So I suspect we just skip that and don't qualify him. I would be fine with bringing Enroth back. That's another guy who would be a good fit with Ullmark.

I'm not paying Lehner $5mil.

The rest of the team was also playing terribly, so I suspect CJ should get some slack for that. I like him as a veteran mentor for Ullmark. I think Ullmark has a good mindset and I think he and Johnson could make a nice duo. Two positive, hardworking guys.

I think that's really where CJ is a better goalie for this team. He's not going to stop the quantity of shots that Lehner does, but he's arguably the better reflexive goalie of the two and I find he plays a more active game, which our defenders need him to do. He's more involved in the play and I think he processes the needs of his teammates better. He's not the most talented or consistent goalie in the world, but I think he's a savvy veteran with a good mind for the game. And I also suspect the team prefers to play in front of him because he doesn't carry the emotional baggage that comes with Lehner. Housley said the key phrase in his post game. Chad "made the big saves when we needed him to". That's Chad vs. Lehner right there.

Too many tours of the Sabres locker room?

Josie is getting slammed with freelance work this week (of course) so if there is pre-game stuff going on we will probably not be partaking due to time constraints. But we will be coming to Cole's after the game for a beer or two and some food. I think we aught to just designate a meetup spot in the arena before puck drop for everyone to say. Then we can meet up between periods on the concourse like last year, do the group photo, etc.

I assume this is a "generate roster competition" move for that rb2 slot?
