Ferland and Donskoi are better hockey players. Points aren't everything.

I'm honestly not sure I want Zucker. The cap hit is fine but the term is a little long. Minnesota really shouldn't be looking to trade him, which makes me nervous.

This topic will cover a lot more turf that people think, but one of my favorite things is movies/tv where the cars are good and sometimes even important to the story. We can name some classics like the Mustang from Bullitt or the Bluesmobile from Blues Brothers, but I'd love to see other people's favorites, especially if they're weird and obscure. I'm going to start with one of my favorites, The Cars that Ate Paris (1974). It's a (cheesy/bad) cult classic Australian film about a small town where the teens go crazy and try to kill everyone in their wacky modified cars. I know this is a common talking point around here but I will continue to disagree with it. That's not the point though. On a bad team Pommers was just as good as Vesey despite being long in the tooth and relegated to a mostly checking role. Vesey doesn't score enough and he doesn't defend well enough to justify plugging him in to this roster. He doesn't fit this team's needs and I want nothing to do with him. Find literally anyone else who is better. It shouldn't be hard.

Pominville is better that Vesey. Surely we can do better than that in upgrading the middle six.

The expansion draft is happening summer of 2021 and Seattle will play in 2021-22.

How convenient

It actually makes sense for them to move him now since cap space is their immediate need. Might as well get something for him, free up some cap, and let someone else deal with the outcomes of him either declining or getting picked up in the expansion draft for free. They might be selling low now, but they could be selling for even lower if they wait.

The interesting part about Subban is that if he's declining and not worth his contract you can just leave him exposed for the expansion draft.

I'd give Subban a chance if the can get Risto and Bogo out of here. I've always felt PK was overrated but he's still an upgrade and the term that is left isn't really that scary, even if the cap hit is.

On a one year deal? No. They'd have to re-sign him again before the expansion draft.
