  1. Rough stat from Ray there, Mitts 1-8 on faceoffs tonight.
  2. Okposo-Sobotka-Pekar is a worthless line.
  3. This second period has been much better from Buffalo in that they've made the game a little boring.
  4. Bemstrom for Columbus is pretty good
  5. Looks like PP1 is Dea-Mitts-Olofsson-Reinhart-Bryson? PP2 Smith-Olson-Okposo-Fitzgerald-Montour?
  6. Supposedly. But the Amerks were good, largely due to a core of AHL vets: guys who were aren't looking to have on the Sabres.
  7. I can't help but think that not having Sobotka and Okposo out there would be helpful.
  8. Mitts-Reino-Olofsson looking good on the PP
  9. Victor with the first SOG there
  10. 2 established NHL D in the lineup for Buffalo and it shows.
  11. No idea. I don't think anyone on the Sabres saw it either.
  12. Sabres getting worked so far
  13. I'm watching it on the Sabres site right now. It's the Columbus feed, which I guess makes sense.
  14. Yeah, I think Borgen is on the bubble for sure
  15. I'm definitely calling him dishes
  16. I would assume they just don't care to see them on the ice against easier competition in these early games. They want to see them against more veteran lineups later on.
  17. I liked his post-game. He was very clear in his explanation of what his process is. He talked a lot about teaching situations and how he needs to figure out when his players respond best to learning and how they learn as individuals. Mentioned that during games he's not planning to do too much teaching, that teaching is for between games. He wants guys to focus on the concepts he's championing and to just go out and play so that he can start getting tape of them in game situations (rather than practice) to see where those concepts need work. If people wanted a mean coach, Ralph ain't it. We're going to be hearing about how he's a players coach soon. One thing that was interesting is that he mentioned how much more technology is available on the bench than there was the last time he was a coach. He said he needs to play with these tools to see how they can be effectively deployed.
