Are you sure about this? I can't imagine the NHLPA being super happy with a player being exiled to LTIR even if they're healthy. How does that even square with the whole rule about teams not being able to keep a player on IR if they're declared healthy?
It's not like Jeremy's source is ever right, but either way, "end of the month" is not the right timeline for a team that could go 3-11 in November if they don't find some goal scoring.
It sure doesn't look like Bogo is going to give them any time if he's subbing in on regular D pairings in practice on day one.
I don't think they want to expose Gilmour to waivers. So you gotta think Scandella is trade bait if he's healthy, and then one of either Risto or McCabe...
I wonder if this is a play by Botterill to make it seem like he has more time to make a move than he really does? He probably doesn't want a team he's negotiating with to think he's in a tight spot as early as next week.

Looks like Scandella will be back tomorrow night if he's practicing with Joker.
That's a lotta defensemen...
I'm with you. Bogo was actually pretty good last year, and he paired well with Dahlin. The injury bug always bites him but I'm fine with him playing when he's healthy.
Welp, if Bogo is truly week to week as reported by the Sabres this morning, then that really makes things interesting for Botterill. The LTIR relief for Bogo is now completely off the table.
My concern with the cap is that Bogo ends up being healthy enough to return from LTIR and ruins our cap. I think whatever happens is going to be cash in cash out. That LTIR relief is not a long term solution.
Thank you for missing the point.
