Winning or losing has been a side issue. It hasn't mattered as long as any of them have been in Buffalo. They can see that the GM is either disinterested in winning now or unable to make NHL-standard moves to do so. They came up at a time when individual development trumped team development. Many of them have developed. People see the talent. But they have no frickin clue how to play the game. They stripe it on the driving range but exactly zero of them have ever stood on the first tee.

I don't have a lot of money but I would bet every penny of it that Terry thinks the fans and media are a part of the problem. Hell, he said it out loud about the media when he bought the team. Incoming Pegula Fan Boi Prove It alert.

You're young then? That explains it. I mean, when I was young I was excited about Scotty's rebuild in the early 80s. Older fans were probably disgusted that the Sabres of the mid to late 70s were being sent away and the priority seemed to be on development. I'm sure I kept looking for positive signs (Sabres actually won a playoff round, sweeping Munreal in Munreal in 83), but the reality was that the Sabres would be in the jingleweeds as a franchise until Gerry Meehan traded for one Dominik Poindexter Hasek.

Your username betrays you. I've never cared about how many people agree with me. You jumped the shark on UPL. Could anyone have imagined three years ago...? That what? He'd be a fair NHL starter? Yes, many could have. I don't hate all things Sabres. I love the history, the logos, Rick, Ted, The Aud, the memories. I do despise most of the people who reside in the current House of Sabres.

If we're counting all goalies who've played this season, yes he was. He climbed to 45th with the shutout. If you want to cull out guys who played a game or two, it looks like he's 33rd on another list. More to the point, he's off his OK pace from a year ago and has been a disappointment overall and a reason the Sabres are in last place. You want to make a sweeping statement about UPL's career trajectory after a shutout? Gaslight away.

The extent of the rebuild would never have gone that far had the GM been in charge of it. EEE is Terry's plan. Do you think the various decisions made under that banner haven't hurt the team's competitiveness? Do you think a GM would ever choose to run a team this way? But keep lickin' them boots. Someday your yacht will come. You always wonder how citizens support despots out to destroy a country. Ours has destroyed our beloved team, and he has his fans. His gaslighters. Astounding.

I guess it just clicked why Mike is pushing it. It probably took this long bc I can't believe there are that many clueless people out there.

And of all people Harrington is going to lead the way? I understand Lindy and Duffer and Marty stoking hope. But reality check... they are DFL in the conference with 35 points at the halfway mark. You can spin it baseball style (3.5 games) or six points or points percentage, but you'd be wrong to suggest the Sabres are anywhere in the hunt. Nine games left this 10 game segment. If they get 12 of the next 18 available points, maybe we can restart the conversation. For the segment that's the 70% point pace they'll probably need all the rest of the way.

Uh oh. Triggered inky. The thing with Terry is that he does speak about the Bills. He's done several interviews in recent weeks. You can say the interviews were meant to address his sale of minority interests, but he did talk about the team. Now Terry could have done similar interviews last offseason to address upgrades to the arena, but he didn't. The man has ghosted us, and I don't think it's any more complicated an explanation than he got booed on RJ night. Oh yeah Terry is shown during Bills camp and he's been in the lockerroom after every Bills win (at least every video I've seen). He even got a game ball and made a speech.

LTS, great term, woobirds. They need to be escorted out. They disrupt the broadcast, too. I guess you have to admire the lungpower.
