  1. Is that your macro view of the franchise under Pegula?
  2. Can we get a projectile vomit emoji. TP could have written this. Only one team can win the Cup. Who cares that some other teams are struggling? Also I looked up Levi's save % rank. I got tired of scrolling. He's not a good goalie.
  3. The Sabres are so unlucky. And those refs. We were tripped six times last night. Only one was called.
  4. The challenge is convincing TP to hire an experienced POHO and go away. The further challenge, that no one dreamt possible, is convincing him to commit to winning NOW and spend whatever is necessary. The E to the 3 should be a relic of the pandemic, like injections of bleach. That's not happening. Someone's challenge should be to convince him to sell. Is Cliff Benson still living? He's the one who convinced Terry to buy his beloved Sabers. Bettman anyone?
  5. Ahhhh... Granato is destroying Power. Peca will get credit for the Power flower.
  6. You're off base here. GMs in sports sometimes aren't serious about winning in the short term. That looks to be KA. If it's not KA, he is near incompetent.
  7. Which will end first, this thread or the Sabres' playoff drought?
  8. Or la niña? It is awful. I don't understand anyone who prefers this to snow.
  9. He's not. Well he might be, but everyone has a boss. My best guess is this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for him to keep the owner happy and have a job he never deserved and keep it for a very long time. He's not going to blow it. Like Rick when he got the job in Buffalo, when KA got this job, he hit the jackpot.
  10. Tell us about that time you lived in Detroit again. Never gets old. Pods gonna pod.
  11. Does anything go with hockey equipment, even tape? Does the league have a say in the use of a product that might enhance performance? I'm thinking about pro golf and its various restrictions on balls and equipment.
  12. The league has MFTs, and the refs do the league's bidding. But the NHL is not rigged, and the Sabres and their fans should not use this fact as an excuse for losing. Got it. One day you will say that the NHL is fake. On that same day Taro will reveal his super secret info. proving that Bettmann orchestrated No Goal, the CIA will announce that a young Fred Rogers was the second shooter and Temptations cat treats will announce the ingredient that makes kitties go crazy for it.
  13. I'd be careful about believing hearsay. It's hard to believe a ref would admit something like that. "You guys have been crying all night!" Maybe.
  14. Have a safe and joyous day.
  15. Go to an opposing team's message board after the Sabres beat them. You'll be in SS Bizzaro World. Of course the Sabres get calls. You hit the nail on the head. There are no excuses to be made for Buffalo having another losing season. The fans I can kind of understand. The team? As Lindy said, that's a joooke.
  16. It's funny that Punch agreed with this post. He took me to task for agreeing with Robinson's penalty. Wow the eggnog must have really been spiked this year.
  17. I'm not sure what you mean.
  18. Dangerous and late on a vulnerable player. It wasn't late. Have you watched a replay? Next the NHL requires a player to be defenseless for a boarding penalty to be imposed, which is a fair bit different than vulnerable. Was Ryan Johnson defenseless? That would suggest he had no idea he was about to be hit. I think he knew it. He did react. So IMHO he was vulnerable but not defenseless. The NHL then needs to see that the hit is violent or dangerous. As usual these are murky terms in the rulebook. All hits to some degree are violent and or dangerous. Do we want all hits where the player being hit contacts the boards to be a penalty? Of course not. The Ranger did not charge the Sabre. He didn't leap into him. He didn't target the head. The contact was on the upper chest. There was no elbow. The Sabre was close to the boards, but was not propelled into the boards in an especially dangerous way. In every sense of the word and the rules, it was a clean hit. Ole Punch should just admit he's come around to the 2023 worldview that clean hits must be avenged. Two more things. Most including print journalist for the Sabres Lance L. are conveniently leaving out Erik Johnson's laying the wood on the Ranger after the hit. That's the extra two. Then, this idea that the Sabres whine to the refs makes me dislike them even more. The refs are against us. The losing culture is so engrained in the team and fans.
  19. Are you going to leave out details of how the situation was resolved?
  20. Can you imagine the NFL clearing the area around a cleanly sacked QB and letting an offensive lineman pummel a linebacker? To send a message.
  21. The league allowing clean hits to be "avenged" is bizarre to me. Maybe last night reflects a crackdown on it, but I doubt it. Anywho what the elder J did will not prevent the younger J from getting hit like that again. And again.
  22. Jumping into a player is charging and is pretty obvious. What tends to happen on big hits is the hitter's skates come up after contact.
