really good effort, great goaltending.....can't fault the Sabres tonight except for a lack of finish on a couple. Entertaining, well-played game. Vanek's shot at the end could have easily gone in.

That last goal given up by Enroth had to have been in the top 3 softest of the year, but neither RJ nor Rayzor had nary a peep to say about it, let along anything remotely critical. That was a terribly bad goal, probably overlooked only because it was the 8th.....but the Sabres broadcast quality continues to go downhill - fast. It also seems RJ & Rayzor could care less at this point, but their commentary is pathetically apathetic.

the inevitable meltdown - losing tonight in whatever fashion isn't all that bad, because it stops the pseudodrama of the epic race to 8th place only to get knocked back to 9th on the last day of the regular season. Making the playoffs would have been a colossal embarrassment.
