  1. I saw that too - and neither one was mentioned by this crack announcing crew....just like Micheletti having a sidebar conversation as Stafford was scoring.
  2. Phil VaronAY Chad Ruwhedayl ....... :wallbash: NBC crew
  3. that should have been Staff's puck to retrieve....looked like he didn't bust it all the way back down
  4. I would add Nolan to the chalk it up comment - seems to me this motley crewe really enjoys playing for him and he seems to maximize whatever talent he has. Although the lack of offensive finish is glaring .......
  5. that's a kick in the balls, I am sorry for you Weave
  6. you must have missed the sarcasm ...
  7. To the bolded comments: Bolded #1: no, sorry, I missed the sarcasm....my bad Bolded #2: I call BS on this garbage; so you are oversimplifying it by suggesting previous administrations "passed laws" making it harder and harder for the masses to "meet their basic needs", then suggesting Obama was voted in to provide for the masses by picking winners & losers? This is a completely illogical non sequitur. You should know by now that Obama's blatant attempt to pick winners and losers was in the realm of corporate welfare (i.e., companies beholden to the Fed for receiving bailout $$, a form of statism, not at all relating to individual citizens. I am all for a social safety net, but it's kind of hard to accept it when you see welfare checks being spent on Air Jordans & HDTVs, then these same people being killed for these things. Bolded #3: Huh? My boy lost? #1 , you don't know who "my boy" is, because he wasn't a nominee. #2, this isn't about my politics or who won/lost. It is about a completely inept, self-indulgent, dishonest President. Bolded #4: Very typical, predictable class/wealth envy. Does this also mean Obama is also cleaning up Bush's mess that was inherited? ..... :wallbash:
  8. And this is where we fundamentally disagree. Just because this President is trying to redistribute wealth within the scope of legislation (or executive fiat), as opposed to wars or riots, doesn't make this redistribution acceptable. It is not government's job to pick winners and losers and "level the playing field", especially given the Fed's penchant for spending other people's money so well - because we all know how efficient our Gov't. is. Why do you think corporations are sitting on this cash? Seriously, I'm sure you're smarter than this. "Because they can afford it"? Puhleeeze.... And job creation is not "altruism" - it is a basic function of an economy in which corporations have confidence in a pro-business White House, which they clearly don't. My customers are not spending money because of the fear, uncertain, & doubt spawned by this Administration.
  9. instead of throwing all the blame at Repubs, how about starting with the tire fire that the ACA was to begin with, i.e., "we have to pass the bill to understand what's in the bill"? How about demanding more from our elected leadership so they actually took the time to explain it in detail instead of rushing it down our throats? Instead of making the verbiage so arcane and superfluous that there was no choice BUT to pass it? How about not making the ACA full of exceptions, loopholes, and deception which has already had a horrific domino effect on the healthcare industry - providers, hospitals, suppliers, & vendors... I know this because I work in it. The was and is Obama's signature legacy.
  10. FIXED
  11. seriously ?
  12. well I linked to a substantiated source, so take that ..... :w00t: amen brother...that's why I worked from home today; too many idiots on the road
  13. pretty funny here - less than 2-3" and it's armageddon here; it takes forever to get ANYWHERE and the grocery stores are emptied for bread & milk. Schools get closed as this area is woefully underprepared.
  14. true, but this the first published rumor of the Rangers expressing doubts about getting him extended - just putting it out there
  15. Rochester native in wearing the blue & gold - what say you ? http://espn.go.com/blog/nhl/post/_/id/28978/rumblings-callahan-kadri-coming-up-in-trade-talk-pens-have-extra-d-men
  16. Ehrhoff - lazy dumb pass, backhand up the slot in front of his own goal..... :wallbash:
  17. not like I didn't see that one coming - a face off win leads to an Ovechkin goal
  18. Enroth needs to come up with a big save or three, or steal a game better yet, before he complains it's tough to win with this team
  19. I love Girgs but God almighty, his breakaways have been painful to watch.. Gets himself in waaaay too tight
  20. or his now-famous "acrost" ......
  21. it's obvious you have a vendetta against the kid - try, for a moment, before overreacting again, that you are a 19 year old, in his shoes. You leave your native country to attempt a shot at your stated, committed dream - to play in the NHL (while, in parallel refuting any notion that you'll go the KHL if you don't make the bigs). You show flashes of great skill but are prone to lazy bouts and mental lapses, due in part to being dominant wherever you've gone. Then a boneheaded GM (DR) verbally guarantees a spot for you, which leads some vets to get p'od that you haven't earned anything; you are scratched quite often and somehow being asked to believe that you can gain some superior perspective by watching the game from the pressbox; when you do play, you are thrown out on the 4th line with such bona fides as John Scott, that noted pugilist. If you could go Rochester, you'd at least have an option, but don't you think there is an outside chance your first reaction might be negative when told you are going back to the Q, where you have done nothing but dominate? Far be it from any of us, IMHO. to dictate what a 19 yr old playing here might initially feel after being told the news. But the high court of public opinion, the Buffalo sports fan, aka Joe 6 pack, was ready to burn him at the stake until he came to his senses, and, after a period of calm and reflection, agreed to go back to the Q ..... If I was his mentor/agent/advisor, I'd damn sure be asking the Sabres what the development plan is and what the success criteria is to progress back to Buffalo. I'd rather not give up on a 1st round 12th pick and see what he can do after assuming a leadership role in the Q & Roch, while working on a better all-around game.
  22. yes, announced Sunday http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/sabres-nhl/sabres-grigorenko-changes-mind-will-go-to-quebec-20140112
  23. also - The lack of production can in part be tied to Grigorenko being on his seventh coach in two years, including his third in Buffalo since Ted Nolan took over in November after Ron Rolston was fired.
