  1. Wow. The Sabres are coach killers once again. Cool.
  2. Pretty sure one's for daytime, the other for afterhours.
  3. Interestingly, they played a very low event game in UPL's 1st outing. A bit more open the next game against the Rags but not their full out attacking game. And since then it seems they've been playing Granato's normal scheme. They have faith in him. And more importantly he has faith in himself. Would really be interested in somebody interviewing UPL asking him what was it that changed in his mind when Dell got called up. Was it the hips finally felt right? Do they still feel weird but he decided to play through it? Was it something else? Because he is 2 completely different goalies before & after that date.
  4. How long ago was the answer? UPL played both halfs of the last btb.
  5. So, do we have an answer on this conundrum? 😉
  6. How so? They have to travel tonight & still play on the road. At this point, he's significantly better than Subban when rested, but is he after 2 road games in 3 days playing the next day?
  7. It's usually not that noticeable as the team usually picks the side before everybody's already nearly set up. They also do it to start a PP.
  8. If not for the 2 weak goals, UPL would've had a shut out. Good to see he isn't letting past events stay in his head. Excellent game by him overall. Does Granato ride the hot hand in Pittsburgh or does Subban get the start?
  9. Because on icing the attacking team gets to choose which side of the zone the faceoff will be held. That was introduced 2 years ago.
  10. Sorry.
  11. He may play either side but he shoots left handed.
  12. Nah, that's a 4. You've been Butchered. 😉 No, not really. Pretty sure it's Okposo.
  13. Never say never. Scandella allowed Moe-ray-all to upgrade a 4th into a 2nd.
  14. Nobody wants to hear it, but Mittelstadt was getting looks on PK in the limited time he was available to Granato last year & this year. He's going to be penciled in there again.
  15. Expect Miller is definitely gone. Could also see Subban or Tokarski (or Anderson should he ever get healthy) getting moved for something like a 5th to a team wanting a 3rd stringer to be playoff insurance. Doubt they'd get even a 5th for Bjork, so doubt he moves. If Butcher could bring back anything see him gone. Maybe Hagg goes for a 5th or so if Samuelsson & Fitzgerald are playing well. Expect Caggiula gone if he gets healthy for a low pick. Could see either or both of Hinostroza or Eakin moved but won't be surprised either if both are back.
  16. That stinks. How did that attempted process begin / what was the trigger? Asking to hopefully avoid your tribulations. Planning on sticking w/ 10 u til they stop supporting it, so would be unhappy (understatement) if they forced that switch now. Can rewind to a few days ago if necessary to undo it, but that's a hassle too.
  17. UPL going to continue his St. Louis Grant Fuhr imitation? Expecting so. (Meaning continuing to get consecutive starts, hopefully the quality netminding follows as well,)
  18. Don't see any way they don't have at least 3 rookies on next year's squad: Power & at least 2 of Quinn, Peterka, & Krebs. Samuelsson will be up too, but he might get enough games this season to not be a rookie next year. Still hoping Adams leverages his cap space from next year to bring in 2 quality veteran D-men & a quality goalie (2 should UPL's awakening turnout to just be him hitting the snooze alarm) but don't have a good feel for whether he will or won't. A big part of the Eulers problems over the past 2 decades, IMHO, was never bringing in a critical mass of vets to teach all the high 1st rounders & other kids how to be pros & how to actually win. Adams seems to understand that he needs quality leaders, but we'll see what that translates into, if anything.
  19. It worked for Tallinder & Lydman.
  20. Baby steps.
