I think the sports psych had them all convinced that they were "OK" and no one bothered to try to get better so they go rid of him.

What I find most distressing about Myers is the fact that many local hcokey writters were saying that Myers had a great preseason and looked to have re-gained his rookie form. I saw none of those preseason games, but I have watched all 4 reg season games and I see the same Myers as last year. How could his game have fallen apart so quickly?

As I read that I began to hope that it was the lead up to some funny hoax story... by the time I got to the end I was sad it wasn't. That's a rough story. I feel badly for all involved.

I know that RJ is considered Sabres royalty, and I love the guy, but his call of Grigo's first NHL goal was embarrassing. I was so excited to hear a classic Rick Jeanerette for the first goal of Grigo's hopefully stellar career. Grigity-Grigity Doo was probably too much to hope for but I certainly hoped for more than that. RJ and Miller both had bad games last night, especially at the end. Miller let in the OT goal and RJ said that it didn't leave much time for the Sabres to have a chance to tie it up, before correcting himself and remembering it was OT.

I heard Sylvester's interview with Terry Pegula yesterday. Two comments. 1- Love him as an owner, but Pegs is the MOST BORING interview I have ever heard. (Hyperbole intentional) 2- If KS kissed Pegula's ass any more thoroughly they would have had to pry him out of it with a crowbar during the commercial break. I think the reason KS remains a part of the organization in the role he's in is because Pegula has a personality/management flaw; If you kiss his ass non-stop, he equates that with "worth"

They can name something in the broadcast after him like the Carruba collision of the game. How about... "And now to the Rick Jeanerette, Veins, Veins, Veins, Sleep Apnea Center Post Game Show" you want to name Pick's Disease after RJ?

Its this attitude that shows why the world is so accepting of becoming stupider with each generation. I have a certain expectation that people talking for a living speak proper English. If he was say "um" or "ya know" after every sentence I'd bitch about that too. There's nothing highbrow about expecting a certain standard to be met. And yes... I had to look up pedantic! :nana:
