I understand what you meant, and you're right of course but 1] they are playing as well as the #1s were then, and 2] Pomminstein especially is way better now than he was then. But yes, we were mush better offensively and we need it desperately now.

Well, they both are around or in the top ten in the league in scoring. At the start of the game, Van was 7 and Pom 12, and they each have a point.

Grigs not having a good game. Not that any goals have been directly his fault but he has been on the ice for all three and had a bad giveaway and not doing much. Hopefully he will pick it up the rest of the way

I don't mind the rule so much because I agree that there needs to be a minor penalty, too, to penalize the team. If they just gave the 5 for fighting and 10 minute misconduct, it would never cause the team to be short handed.

To me it does no good whatsoever for him to sit and watch Tuesday game from the press box, unless they already decided to keep him up, and even then it would be dumb, since he just came off a pretty good game. If he cannot suit up anymore, there is nothing that could happen with him watching that could possibly help their decision on whether or not they should keep him. It would only help if he then played a game and they noticed improvement from what he was able to see. I also don't think even practices are going to help them make the decision much, although I could be wrong about that. I have long thought, and still think, they are just going to keep him up. Little I have seen from him changed that. He should stay. The only way the team is going to have a great season is if Grigs solidifies the third line C role and three lines are viable scoring threats. I'm not predicting that is going to happen, just simply the only way the team has a great year is if that happens. So go for it.

It's possible that Lindy not playing him much last night was because he already decided to keep him up, and was just bringing him along slowly, amd talked to him about it. I'm not saying I think that is it for sure, just a possibility. He should have been playing more though last night,

God this Canes analyst is terrible. He just spent a minute suggesting that the Canes may call a timeout here. Then suggested that the coach said no. Then said, "And why would they?" ;) He ridiculed his own suggestion.

Grigs has had a pretty decent game. At least a couple nice plays and no bad ones.

The Canes announcer just said Alexander Semin's "father was a hockey player." That never happens in hockey. Vanek hurt, in locker room but no word.
