Adam looked incredibly lazy to me in the few games he played for a guy that was getting a second or third and perhaps last chance.

Kaleta has drawn more penalties than any player in the NHL this year. They said it on the broadcast.

I think a lot of guys, the majority of the team in fact, is playing like that now. They will show bursts of effort but if you watch them the entire shift they are not hustling at all. I would agree that Hodgson does that a little more than others.

This team has balance on their skates, and moves, like five year girls in high heels trying to learn ballet for the first time.

I'm assuming that it was simply a matter of what situation the Sabres are in, and nothing more, and that maybe that was something the agent knew and exploited. It's really just a "starting" on the Sabres. I also assume there is little to stop them from sending him down after a few games. I guess it could have been he has to spend the rest of the season on the big club. But it's hard to imagine the team would say yes if they were 4 points higher in the standings.

A condition of him signing was that he got to play right away on the Sabres. That is the reason for no call up. From John Vogl

I would like to meet the Sabres fan who would prefer to have Derek Roy on the team over Steve Ott. Oh, wait... No I wouldn't. And I didn't hate Roy as much as most.

Pysyk has looked good to me from the start. Way better than I expected him to be. One of the only pleasant surprises the entire season. I expected nothing on offense and I really like his decision making as well as getting his weak wristers and half slappers on the net that are easy to tip or get rebounds.

I really think Scott should have been playing every game.

No question. They stink. But they do play hard lately. It's laughable that they have Ennis, Gerbe and Ott as their three picks for the shootout. One of the power plays we sent out Stafford, Gerbe, Hecht and Psysk I think. Miller has been amazing at times.

How did this amateur team win three games in a row? Miller has been every bit as good as he's ever been IMO. People just seem to ignore the 5 ridiculous saves he makes, not counting the 5-10 excellent or very good ones he makes. This team gives up more good chances than any team I have ever watched.

Nice win for the Amerks again. First time since the opening two games we won two in a row in regulation.

I like Pysyk's game a lot. Crappy name, good solid game. He makes those clever wristers to the net that are easy to tip in that few Sabres defensemen do let alone do well. And very solid defensively for a young guy.

They had a penalty and then a bad call four minute penalty in the first ten minutes. I meant prepared to play a full game, obviously.

Quite a win. Rolston had them prepared, you have to give him credit for that at least.

The Sabres seem to be playing fairly smart, too. Not just in a defensive shell that is a recipe for disaster, but also not allowing the Pens to get any room to go on an offensive surge. It helps the Pens are playing stupid though.

Kaleta draws twice as many stupid penalties as he commits. I don't see how any Sabres fan cannot like him.
