I agree with most of that. I think the league will suspend him for a game at least though, simply because it looks so bad on the surface, and when it's played on highlight shots. He definitely embellishes it, Stafford was definitely defending himself about to be hit, but he also really does intentionally get the forearm/elbow in the Dougie Howser's grill.

There is no place for that kind of play in the NHL. But there is on a message board. I'm gonna watch that all day.

I just watched the third period again, proving once more that outside of google, dvrs are right up there with the printing press and sliced bread. Grigs really made a nice play (two of them) on the Sulzer goal. Stafford really smacked Dougie Howser pretty good. After the B's scored, it made 8 goals they had scored in the 3rd period versus zero against this season, and then we scored four unanswered. They had gone 41 games having a two goal lead and not losing until tonight. Myers actually made a couple good defensive plays after that bonehead play that started the Bruins goal. I liked the Leopold not chasing Krejci behind the net at all and the Bruins were not able to crowd the goal at all. Miller was ridiculous, the Grant uhr comment was spot on, IMO. The save on Bergeron alone in front was insane. Vanek made three great plays on the perfect pass to Hodgson for the goal. What a play and period for Van the Man. Most everyone played pretty good, but Sekera had a very nice period. Leopold had at least three good hits Foligno drawing the penalty on the 4 minute Myers penalty probably saved the game. Hecht made a couple nice plays. Ellis actually made two nice defensive plays with 3 minutes to go on his shift Vanek Vanek Vanek The first couple minutes of the third I think

Most NHL players in general, and almost all of the Sabres with any offensive skills, with the possible exception of Pomminstein, are streak scorers to some extent.

I wonder how much of an affect the Scott fight had on both the Bruins and the Sabres. Maybe more than I originally thought, especially after we found out that Thorton was hurt and wasn't coming back. They certainly didn't physically abuse us. I don't think any of their goals were because they outmuscled us (we just looked lousy or didn't clear them out). They weren't flying at all, even in their own rink. Me likes.

Vanek now with 6 lazy goals and 9 lethargic assists for uninspired, untimely 15 points in 6 meaningless games.

Love that TO move, although would have hated it if the Bruins did it to us. Ha.
