That’s interesting because early on in his struggles, Lehner had effusive praise for the team and the help they provided him. It wasn’t until after he left when he criticized the fan base for booing him and threw the organization under the bus for their lack of support. I will just agree to disagree on Lehner as I have nothing good to say about him.

OK. Fair enough. They didn't give him support in a timely manner. They left him isolated from the team when he was injured and needed support. By the time they did provide support he needed a new start in a new location.

Yep. But, today is the 1st day of the rest of your (mine, and everybody else's) life. Can't change the road you took to get here, but definitely can control the path you take from here. No reason to keep any of those you mention beyond their contracts and for many of them even before those contracts run out.

Hell of a lot easier than dismissing all end evidence at hand to create some bs conspiracy theory about Dahlin quitting the team to go play for Frolunda.

I have to disagree about Lehner. The Sabres got him psychiatric help, including treatment for substance abuse to help with his drinking problem and gave him as long as he needed to get well.

He’s been a pleasant surprise. Even when he doesn’t make the score sheet, you notice his game. He hustles and seems to play the game the right way. But I can’t really say if he’s a legit prospect until I see him in a game or two in the show. I’d bet that his maturity would serve him well and that he won’t be intimidated in the least.

That can start with showing a commitment to winning. Bringing back Adams and the entire coaching staff shows the exact opposite.

And Carolina must be doing well too. Wouldn't be surprised if he plays the best hockey of his life with that weight taken off his shoulders.

Yeah, they didn't give Lehner the support he needed and they apparently didn't give Ullmark the support he felt he needed. Good to see they learned from those experiences and gave Dahlin the support and leeway he needed. Has to also go a long way in inner player circles to dispel the 'wow, they didn't let Eichel get the surgery he wanted, what a horrible place to play' vibes. We can hope at any rate.

Maybe Terry will fly to Detroit to address the team and fix everything like he did in Montreal last year🙄😝😂 I just remember how much Kevyn kissed his ass afterwards saying how impressive the things Terry said in the dressing room were😳

The Sabres Organization’s support and actions for Dahlin and His Family throughout this entire process more likely to lead to him not asking out.

Only because he sees this day as moving him one day closer to becoming Frolunda's captain. 😉

This is hilarious. 'They'd've drafted Benson anyhow, they like small players high in the draft.' Yes, they do like small forwards, if they can skate like the wind which Benson doesn't do. 'Well, they listened to their development people and that was a good thing.' Well, yes, they DID listen to their development people and that was a very good thing because as have said previously the Benson pick was a very good one and he's better than anyone else they had been inclined to pick instead of him. Please show us what was critical of them choosing Benson? That was great. But they wouldn't have taken him had they not drafted Savoie and they very likely wouldn't have had McLeod if they hadn't drafted Savoie. So, in a round about way, drafting Savoie was an excellent choice as that pick resulted in them getting the value of McLeod and also the added value of Benson over whomever else was on their radar when they chose Benson over that guy.
