How would you retool this team this summer?
Brawndo replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
It was made clear to the Sabres he would not sign a long term deal Necas was the Sabres consensus pick in the first round that year then Mitts started to drop-someone needs to write a book about the missteps of the Sabres Drought. It will surpass War and Peace in length -

The Jokeman replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
If he play here I'd be all for it but to me feels like he wouldn't want to be here. -
Martin Necas may be available as well. Colorado wants to sign him but with only 1yr left on his deal, he might be trying to get to UFA.

I couldn’t imagine doing another three years! All the power to you -

I brought him in season and Codi Cecil feels like a top 4 Damn that makes sense at least to me. -
Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block
The Jokeman replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
Hopefully he comes in a Byram and/or Quinn trade, hell at this point I'd take Byram for Miller, Schneider and a C level prospect from the Rangers. -

Obviously I hope you're right but KA is just bad enough to do it. -
Our glaring need is RHD. Love Robertson as much as the next guy but nowhere is RHD being filled in this discussion
-
Truly don't expect him to make any trades for prospects and picks. (Unless, say it's Rosen for a D prospect that is on that same ~1 year away timeline.) Ruff and Kekalainen aren't going to be on board for any sort of a tear down now. There aren't going to be any roster players traded away for just prospects this summer.

Matthew Fairburn Latest Article regarding Terry Pegula and Adams
DarthEbriate replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
We 'Spacers are way too close and informed (and hypothetically full of conjecture) to really be surprised by anything in the article. It's just additional confirmation. The article was written for the NHL fan -- like a CBJ fan who says, "I wonder what Jarmo is getting himself into..." reads it and says, "I knew Buffalo was bad... but good golly, I had no idea." We already discuss the details of the flailing and failings of this organization in every single thread here. Obviously, there isn't/won't be a 2nd article from Fairburn. The general facts are all there and the subtext and what is unstated is the scariest part. But a 3rd party more "angled" reporter could've likely gone much further with damning quotes, and smear, and such. -

You remember what KA gave up for Byram? I just don't trust him as a GM so hoping we get NHL players back but knowing idiot we'll get prospects and picks which is last thing we need. -

You're higher on Benson than me. To me we need a 20 goal, 50-60 point winger on the 2nd line. I like Mercer as he can play left or right or even Center as needed. -
You'd better be able to get a 2W and 6D for Byram. But if all you're expecting back that's useful is a 2W, then why not add a prospect or other sweetner to the deal and get a top 4D as part of the package? They don't need any more bottom pairing D and should be able to find as many as they may want in FA.
-
There's no reason to do that imo. Benson becomes your 2nd lw. It's nice an easy.

Looooooooooong time ago a friend had heard there was a good hike in that area and talked about 10 of us into making a day trip of it. Started out uneventful enough and after 15 or so minutes we'd gotten down to the creek. Saw a couple of other hikers. Still nothing eventful. But after we went around one particular bend, holy schneikees, we ended up in a scene that was a cross between a town fair and Deliverance. The most interesting sight was the chick under a blanket doing her best imitation of a Columbus hockey player on presumably her boyfriend. Saw several other rather nekkid people there and really not sure why when you randomly run into nekkid people in real life they're NEVER the ones you WANT to see nekkid. Wifey and the other women along on the trip were like, yeeeeaaaah, we're heading back to the car now. Oddly enough, never went back. And, though am listening to Rush's 2112 right now, it keeps getting drowned out by Dueling Banjos. Uhhhhhh.

I'd rather trade Byram for a 2nd pair Righty Dman. I like Michael Kesselring and more from Utah. Miller and more could be a guy I could trade for too. -

Robertson is better than JJP but is it worth cost of a lesser 2nd line? As I'd move Quinn and picks to NJ for a guy like Mercer. Unless you think can get a 2nd line Winger and bottom pair Dman for Byram? -
Mainly hiking or fishing. Kayaking rather than rafting as the Cattaraugus creek is too shallow during summer months for rafting. That’s about it.

Maybe Jarmo can sweet talk him into coming. Unfortunatley Buffalo is a less than desirable destination for may players (mostly because of the perpetual Losingggg) but stranger things have happened -
To be a child again would be quite a delight. Endless summer. 0 responsibility. Can eat anything you want.

You two are annoying. After 2020 and Peterka not included, there's been a marked improvement in Sabres drafting. Ideally you need about 2.4ish players per draft. While I think the Sabres have left value on the table in round 2, Kulich, Benson, Peterka are excellent values. The later picks are still uncertain. Novikov probably has an nhl future depending on skating. One of the rhd will make it. I like ziemer a bunch and Wahlberg has potential. The Sabres aren't the best drafting team but under Adams I'd say they went from below average to just a smidgen above. Their 2023 and 2024 drafts are imo quite interesting.

The poor Liger would either be on suicide watch or a serious candidate to go postal. Please, no Ristolainen. Think of the children! (No, not saying Liger is a child.)
