  1. Past hour
  2. You can say ass here.
  3. McLeod is okay too. And frankly I don't have a problem with the 4th liners he brought in. They were expendable and got dropped as appropriate. I don't think our 4th line was the problem. That's the least of our problems.
  4. I agree here.. if he is traded its for a price that is a lower type pick that someone wants to take a shot at... I also think there is a solid shot we would have to eat some salary... I suspect if we agreed to eat salary the pic may be a little better... but I do think he may have a modest value.
  5. I agree especially with your last commentary... he has burned civilization as we know it to the ground as we know it... he has lied, failed and demonstrated incompetence at a level that needs to be seen to be believed... he has responded to it with silence, then smug arrogance and degradation of the city and fans... there is no way back for him, the earth is scorched... so any "words" that come out of his mouth with regards to the future I am certain will be met with abject disdain and ridicule unless there is bona fide success to back them up (we know the likelihood of that) ... the real question is how does Pegula not see the depths in which this joke has been driven into the ground.. or does he and simply doesn't care....
  6. I really disagree that he has trade value. At minimum, partial evidence is the buyout rumors or truth of it. Players get bought out because they can't be traded. I'm not saying it's impossible that he's traded. IMO, if he is traded, we'll have to overcome his negative value and give up more or receive less.
  7. VAN is taking on the full salary.
  8. 2025 4th round pick. Cap dump.
  9. Today
  10. I don't think it's unreasonable. They've all showed signs of being better players than they were last season. The question is: Who are they really? Are they the Better Players they've shown signs of in the past, or the One Step Back players we saw last season? Was last year their collective sophomore slump and they'll bounce back this year? Will some of them do so? Which ones won't?
  11. There seems to be someone falling every draft, maybe they are banking on that happening again. Hagens, because of his size? Perhaps their list has someone as a consensus 10-12 that they view as a 6-7. I wouldn’t move down unless it is for Schaefer or Misa.
  12. He'll use it to draft the next Matthew Savoie.
  13. Well, at least part of the time he's talking to Terry EVERYDAY! 🙃
  14. I think most people associate the GM with the drafting. It is really the director of scouting and scouting staff that do all the leg work. Come scouting meetings the GM is brought up to date and then dives in on the top prospects. If you listen to scouts interviews they are usually fighting with each other in meeting to pound the table and advocate for players they are trying to convince the GM to draft. GMs have no clue who the 4-7th round talent is. The scouting dept makes those selections. If you look at teams who draft well, it’s not the GM it is the director of scouting who get the accolades. And that is for all teams just not Buffalo.
  15. If Adams isn't looking at draft prospects until May... what the F is he doing with his time?
  16. I actually like JBD. He played well on the backend. Steady defensively responsible. Cannot ask for anything more from him as a player
  17. I just need something that excites me. The pick needs to be something that gives me a “concept of” type of player to drool over for a couple of years, or the pick needs to be traded for someone that gives me hope for ‘25-‘26. Cheeses, Im not even asking for much at this point.
  18. Adams loves his prospects. He's making the pick.
  19. He is 100% making this pick. No imagination to make this team better and his trading skills are far from desirable.
  20. I voted for make the pick but honestly... I don't care. The team has worn me down... More so the fact we are seeing so many moves in the off-season and none by the sabres. So far... That has worn me down.
  21. If JJ gets offer sheeted we’ll end up with ~ $30M of our cap between JJ, Muel, Power, and Norris. In about 3 years that may be a deal but it’s a stretch for next season.
  22. Right, I get that. But also, it's a very weird public admission. One would think that there is some sort of biweekly touch base with scouts with a top line review and film. There can't be too much time in his day to review the top 3 guys each scout looked at that month. I don't expect the GM to be up until 3am in November watching film every night. But I do expect them to get familiar with them before January and start watching film on them before May. Let's just pretend the Sabres are a playoff team. Trying to cram for the draft during the playoffs would be a bear. But it's super manageable if you stay in touch with what your prospective draft pool is before, say January/May. Managing, directing, and sorting the information from your pro and amateur scouting staff should be like 80% of a GM's job.
  23. Wonder if it’s for Demko?
  24. Going home for a season. That's a good move for Edmonton to free up (unless retention in play) $5M for defense/goaltending. For Vancouver, they get muscle, and maybe a longer-term hometown discount extension to wind out his career as a 3/4W. There are worse grinders out there.
  25. Seravalli's latest: Scoop: There may be no better player available, period, on the trade market this summer – let alone one of Peterka’s age at 23, already a top-line producer. Embattled Sabres GM Kevyn Adams previously said he has no interest in trading Peterka, but he’s apparently come around on the inevitability. He declined to say Tuesday whether Peterka requested a trade. More than a handful of teams have expressed legitimate interest: both the Rangers and Islanders, Lightning, Mammoth, Blackhawks and Canucks, and they’re not alone. Buffalo is determined to get an impact roster player back for the present as opposed to futures.
