  1. Past hour
  2. 5-3 final. Levi let in a softie late. Definitely an off night for him.
  3. Yes length of service on the short side for a tribute.
  4. He told the Sabres to eff off, and you want to nurture a relationship with him. 🤣 Not demanding a trade is a start.
  5. Wonder what the tribute video standard is?
  6. The player wasn't close to the organization. He wanted out. And he wasn't here very long. As I said in the prior post, I just think that it gets overused to the point where it loses its intended effect. I just don't think in this particular case that it was warranted.
  7. The tribute video gets used by organizations that are close with their players. It’s a nice tradition, I don’t think it gets used too much. He came up in Buffalo, did pretty good too. I’ll stick with my old fashion thoughts that team culture is still not a priority with the current hockey organization. They don’t understand it Player retention and relationships. It’s not a thing in the Pegula hockey era.
  8. Better the Blues than us. Would've stunk to have been there to see 2 record breaking goals against the Sabres. Gretzky's 77-79 was enough to see in person.
  9. No data. Haven't looked that closely at that as it's only relevant for about 1 week out of the year.
  10. Not until he's finished with it.
  11. Why does he deserve a "tribute video"? He wasn't here long and wanted out. Besides, I'm sure he didn't want one or even care about having it. The tribute video is a nice tradition that gets used too much. There are a number of things that one can criticize the organization for, but this isn't one of them.
  12. He can go to Rochester, but will need to pass through waivers. Someone will likely grab him. Maybe STL again.
  13. Today
  14. So in that case would it be the start of the NHL season or the Sabre season? I guess I’m not sure if they even consider that the start of the season.
  15. Heck, winning 20% of them gives you the NHL 0.600 pace you need to essentially guarantee a playoff spot. So, yeah, getting to OT helps.
  16. Eh. Let Ellis and Levi fight it out. I thought competing for ice time was good?
  17. I had to look up if Darnold was traded by the jets. I find it hilarious that the panthers traded for two failed QB picks from that same Allen draft year. They both did absolutely nothing there but then rebounded to good careers.
  18. Not sure if the 30 day clock starts at the day he was claimed or the day the season starts for claims made before they start playing. So they MIGHT not quite be there yet.
  19. Cool great, so now he's getting what? 1 game ever 12 days while Rochester plays Levi and Leinonen, and him? It's not logical
  20. Did they stop the game LeBron James style?
  21. Winning even just a quarter of your overtime games is significant. That would be taking 1.25 points per game, a 102 point pace. If you win more of those remaining regulation games than you lose, you’re in the playoffs. Keeping games out of the middle column will take you places.
  22. I’m seeing stories of the Sabres claiming him dated 10/6. We should be at that 30 day mark now.
  23. Forty Thieves is a Buffalo bar. I think the Sabres gave JJ what he deserved. Here's your JJ tribute video.
  24. OV did it. At home
  25. To be honest I don’t understand the tweet. I don’t get the point so I don’t agree or disagree with it. i just happened to be thinking about the no acknowledgment after reading the BN article on Peterka. Reflecting back, it just seems like this organization is 180 degrees out of phase with what it once was. The culture is wrong.
  26. Why does a player who wanted out deserve a tribute? Besides, the tweet, from a major local media figure, speaks volumes, does it not?
