  1. Past hour
  2. So here is where I am at... not gonna lament a 2 that might not help us before 2030 ... not gonna get excited over the player... could care less about Clifton he was a serviceable body. Bottom line KA trying to save his job if these are genius moves or help us in the short term in a moderate to solid way good for him. If they are bush league he may be closer to out the door. Right now we are vasillating between a on the fly retool to get better to a full tear down if the gut the FO and they decide to rebuild. Adams has done damage to this team and we can do nothing about it... he has been given the keys to the assets and Adams gonna Adams... so speculation to me at this point that's nice... just show me the baby and let's see what happens. But to fret he is gonna devoid us of solid assets for nothing or too little doesn't help me anymore... cause I can't change it... the wildfire is burning and its uncontained and I can do nothing to put it out. So... take your shot Kev and let's see the results.
  3. There are a number of elephants in that particular room.
  4. So what are you doing with Malenstyn and Lafferty?
  5. So... goaltending. Someone tell him you need proven NHL starting goaltending. And top line centers who can stand up to Bennett and outscore Barkov. The Sabres brass overlooks him, certainly. Bryson can always be waived (unlikely to be claimed) and Johnson gets the LHD 7/8 role. But, then... why extend Bryson with months to go before UFA?
  6. After they trade Byram, all these transactions would have saved $14m in cap (after the cost of extensions). Quinn's extension is a wash, as you were doing that either way. How's he spending this $25m in cap space? Tuch extension, Robertson, Marner, Ehlers, ekblad? What's the plan?
  7. No, call up Johnson. He can play defense. He looked decent with his Sabres stint. People seem to overlook him
  8. Yeah, we blew right through the Murray portion of the Kevyn Adams 1 Man 3 GM show into the Jason Botterill all your RHDs belong to us phase of the show. Did not expect to see that heading into the weekend. Thought we'd stay on the Tim Murray overpay for what we want portion of the program a bit longer than we did.
  9. Congrats, I forgot about Bryson, there's another guy that should have been non-tendered.
  10. You need good bottom 6 players too. Especially tenacious ones. We got bigger and more physical. Now if they do not stick check we win!
  11. The pervading side-story of this draft cycle is that big, RHD are difficult to come by. Okay, so Adams is stocking up on RHD. They are assets. We put the best one on the roster and the rest can be used any other way you'd use a desirable asset. It's Adams, but objectively the strategy is sound.
  12. I like all 3 guys we traded for so far, though I think all 3 are best suited for bottom of the lineup. Again, we have a ton of cap space but are we going to use it and how. Jaro got Gadreau to go to CLB, maybe he can work magic on Marner or Ehlers.
  13. Just secured another PSL? Shrewd marketing technique on Terryโ€™s part, but that yacht isnโ€™t going to pay for itself
  14. I'd rather keep Byram on a 5 year over extension and force Power to push his ability to steal the PP2 over watching something gross like a Samuelsson Timmins bottom pair. I'm sorry, if anyone things Samuelsson Timmins is an improvement I'm baffled. Samuelsson misses an average of 30 games, and Timmins piqued last season.
  15. I'd say average. There's good players in that top 50 but I think 2026 is a stronger draft. So yes, we didn't get a good player at 39. That pick became... Peyton Kettles a big and physical defender. He's at least 4yrs away.
  16. Issue with that is. From going back to Berglund at a minimum, when cash gets freed up unexpectedly due to circumstances changing, it's always wound up in ownership's pocket rather than being used to buy something fun. HOPING that isn't the case this time. EXPECTING it is, until it finally isn't. (And it is very possible that in the new plan they do have a plan to spend that money. But after getting fooled on that one so many times, won't believe it until it has actually happened.
  17. Sabres fans complain to just whine and complain. I get being jaded, but this move makes this team better and gets rid of a give away machine. He is not a superstar but a solid 4-6 that plays well and moves the puck decent. Definitely an upgrade over Clifton. You know you are all right, we need another player that may or may not help in 4 years. ๐Ÿ™„
  18. You know, these moves that some are positioning as being cheap could very well be a means to clear space to offer a big contract. Let's keep in mind the entire Palm Trees narrative - the Sabres have dug themselves such a performance hole that they need to offer above top dollar to draw people in. I know that the popular sentiment right now is that Buffalo is cheap, and I hate to be one of those people who say "let's wait and see" but, as Camus advocated, we must rebel against life's absurdities and purposely adopt a tone of optimism.
  19. Could always invite him to my 4th party, Ive added 48 of the 5โ€ mortars this year, so now 4โ€, 5โ€ and 6โ€ mortar show ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
