Really old... like late '90s, where they outworked their opponent nearly all night and got solid goaltending? (And yes, it's only a preseason game against a half-CBJ roster with no Werenski) but after the first period, the Sabres forechecked and backchecked like you'd expect of a '90s dead-puck team.) -

great town. -
I totally agree with you... I just hope that he does it before the talented players on this team bolt...

You hit on what is so intolerable about this owner. When he was a new owner he deserved plenty of forbearance entering a new sports ownership endeavor. A generation is more than enough time to adjust to this new realm for him. He’s a stubborn fellow. However, I do see him backing off more. And that is a good thing.

They were inspired, particularly Party in the USA (which was fun to hear on the road that season during breaks in play --- they're wishing for Skinner to score on them!). Shoutout to Olofsson, too, for ABBA's Gimme Gimme Gimme. It's such a break from the "Grrr, make it louder. Yell into the PA that we're on the powerplay" of the rest of sports presentations these days, etc. Just have a singalong danceable frolic that everyone has heard. Now, if it's for everyone on the team and every goal, it probably gets obnoxious. But no worse than a Chelsea Danger.

Bring him back a goal song coordinator / comedic relief for MSG. I can’t imagine he’ll be playing much longer.
-
Oh, I think you are putting that nicely... I think the owner is clearly unaware that he is out of his league AND hires sycophants that bolster his delusional notion that he is some kind of a hockey guy... problem is after 14 years couldnt you figure that out TP? Like do you avoid mirrors at all costs?...

The D has come a long way the last few seasons. Albeit at the expenditure of doing anything else with the roster. -
The owner may not be aware of it that he is also out of his league in hockey. His record attests to that obvious fact. Hubris is not a positive attribute for a sports franchise owner.
-
So, it should be a WWJC? (What would Jeff choose?) Might be able to get behind that.

Same old Sabres. -
It wouldnt seem that way, but what happens is from what I understand in JBs case the ligaments that hold the big toe in place tear... so, imagine an ACL on a knee... this is defacto and ACL/LCL on a toe... clearly a lesser injury than an ACL... BUT alot of your planting, cutting ability, and balance is manufactured by the stability of that toe... without that your toe would pop up straight and you couldnt really protect yourself or use any real agility...

It would be better if he was Seth Jones! 👍 -

I don't put any stock in that at all. The fight was a staged "hey I'm trying to make my team, wanna scrap?" out of a faceoff. It was not a response, nor was there any contentious play leading up to it. -
I miss Jeff Skinners goal songs. Outside of his final choice as a Sabre, I thought Whitney Houston and Mylie Cyrus were great.

Adams traded away Montour and let McCabe walk so Granato could ice this D-corps: Dahlin - Pysyk Bryson - Jokiharju Hagg - Miller (Butcher) IR: Samuelsson Curiously, the Sabres won the game 4-1. Tokarski in net. Dahlin was 21 years old at the time. And a nice line for him with Zucker-McLeod. I think Helenius will get the 2-game looksee at the end of this season (after the Sabres have clinched a playoff berth of course). -

I actually am excited to see Zach Jones I think we will be keeping 2 extra forwards and one extra D for the bench players so I assume the 7th spot is coming down to Jones vs Bryson and from what I have read so far Jones has actually been quite decent. -
Hockey fits hard rock and metal IMO

Slipknot is a little much for the Chet and Muffy crowd

Turf toe is a weird name, but in this case, he essentially tore ligaments in the toe area. Essentially like tearing the ACL of the foot (not exactly, but works in this case lol) for a QB...3 step drops and planting a foot to throw are greatly affected by this, let along the mobility aspect of it.
-
Whatever they pull, it’s going to be up to the team to create the moments that give it synergy.

F it. J Cash, ghost riders in the sky... Hit em with something completely off the cuff.

Cowboys from Hell or Walk. Let’s go!

Realize this is likely backwards because the Bills have beaten the Crows in the playoffs twice and haven't beaten the Chefs in the playoffs since Montana was in the league; but the Bills are built to matchup against KC and KC isn't what it was the past 7 or so years this year. The Ravens play a style that the Bills have to play their absolute A game to beat because they aren't particularly good at stopping heaving running teams. So, would rather see KC win this one and hope that somehow the Stillers manage to be the only team coming out of the North. Both the Bolts and the Donkeys could finish ahead of the Chefs in that division this year. Which could make this the magical year that both the Crows and the Chefs miss the playoffs. Totally get that Jackson has not been regular season Lamar in the playoffs to date and that they have a tendency to shoot themselves in the foot during big games; and also that until the Bills have beaten Mahomes Chefs in the playoffs they have not done so. BUT with all that said, would rather face the Chefs in Buffalo in January than the Crows in Buffalo in January. Go Walrus, coo-coo-a-chew. Then go back to losing the following week. 😉
