  1. Past hour
  2. Count me not a fan of Schneider/Kreider for Byram.
  3. I guess I'd rather keep JJP for the top line together and Norris at 2C and see if could get someone like Dawson Mercer as a 2nd line winger who won't cost as much in terms of compensation.
  4. Hmm... no JJ Peterka. It's weird how only one Insider has him on their trade board, and how that Insider has him #1 and the Sabres may "have to trade him" when others have him at most as a potential offer sheet target. Beyond that: Andersson, Oleksiak, Miller, McDonough, Murphy, Hague...definitely names there I am interested in or the Sabres. Heck, I'd even kick the tires on Ristolainen.
  5. Peterka is getting 7 million anyways so you just have to find 3 million for Robertson next deal which will be easy. Robertson gives you a legit top line. Robertson - Norris - Thompson Benson - McLeod - Tuch Zucker - Kulich - Quinn/Greenway Also the cap is going way up. You sign him this offseason and you're locked in.
  6. From a cap sense it hurts unless of course some how can move Power and/or Samuelsson.
  7. Zach Benson was and is fine on the top line. Peterka put up 68pts. Kulich, sure, I agree there. The other two I disagree with and Benson only played the end of the season up top.
  8. Then instead of trading Byram you trade Power and get Byram on a bridge deal.
  9. I don't follow this at all. Peterka played as the #1 lw most of the season. I can trade him and get a better lw but that's some how bad? Upgrading Peterka for Robertson makes way too much sense.
  10. Or you could be less of a douche in general. OK then I stand by it, Adams is a bad drafter. You're ball washing of KA makes me think that you're related to him, I'm sorry that I made fun of your uncle. Truth, he is horrible at his job. He should be fired... And should have never been hired. Again I'm sorry your friend/family member is bad at his job. It's OK to admit it
  11. You trade Peterka and 9 for Robertson, you already have the capital. You trade Byram for Schneider, Krieder and some other thing. Easy peasy.
  12. I can't see getting 2025 #2 OA for Byram, would they give 2025 #30 OA We then could move 2025 #9 OA for Robertson? It likely take more such as JJP and/or Poltapov which leaves us a hole and ideally we need a #2 winger not a #1 so think trying to going after Robertson to me more foolish than smart.
  13. Right, so you can trade Byram for picks to San Jose or somebody else and then trade those picks and/or your own to Dallas for Robertson. Along with whatever else makes it work but that's the crux of how you get deals done. Everybody happy. If Adams tries to get a roster player one for one with Byram it'll be a lot harder to do. Same with Peterka. Would you do Helenius and Wahlberg for Rossi? I would.
  14. 25 year old w 40 goal ability and rfa restriction after next season....and they want to trade him, why? I'm not buying. Could they be floating to see what his perceived value is before making a contract commitment? Guys who shoot the puck like this should never hit the market......id give up a first and a couple more A pieces to get him.

  16. Care to elaborate on the last sentence?
  17. Yesterday
  18. ROR and Dahlin never even got to play together. ROR might've regained some love of the game with a summer to cool off and bringing in kid-Rasmus and a new PP. With Ullmark, that's not a terrible core and Eichel improving every season. Instead, yet another monster hole appeared in the lineup.
  19. It's a good article. General, almost all the backstory except maybe the 1-year handlings of Reino and Ullmark and others by JBott and ditching ROR which all contribute to Eichel saying, "No thanks" once Adams comes in and wants to rebuild -- thus the trade request pre-injury. But it's objective, and won't lose Fairburn his interviewing or team access, and you know exactly where the issues lie if you're a general NHL article reader. Well done overall. There's a part 2 of the article that Fairburn simply can't write because he's the beat guy. But those of us that are Sabres-idiots know that 2nd article already.
  20. Dallas has no 1st until 2027 and no 2nd until 2026.
  21. Yup. That does it for me and that's a solid pull of Dallas' cap and futures. I'd be reluctant to move Helenius or Wahlberg because the Sabres need something on the Rochester callup list after Rosén moves on or is already up for an injury.
  22. Well in fairness Skinner is really just a depth black ace with Edmonton and he wouldn't even see the ice if not for the Hyman injury. Montour's a funny one. Very specific skill set and he needs to be on a highly structured team for real success. We were a loose wide open mess and so he looked seriously flawed here and constantly out of position. He was not great in Seattle that also lacks that Florida structure. I think Dahlin could win a cup in Toronto. He's the piece they are truly missing. Reilly is not the PP QB they need. I'm not suggesting anything just looking at where he'd fit or be needed most among contenders if he insisted on getting out.
  23. That's fair. I'd say those guys are wait 3 years not 5 but I get your point. As I said, I'd make the deal anyway. I'd consider it a winning trade for Dallas but it wouldn't matter as our roster would be better now.
  24. The issue being Norris is also a shooter. At that point, you need a true distributing center to be between them. But it would work. But Robertson-TNT could make a lot of centers look really good.
  25. I doubt they'd want to send a D prospect back given their D situation. I'd take picks back from them and then use that draft capital in further deals like Robertson or Dobson or whoever. Adams has to stop the foolishness of looking for "hockey trades". You trade your player for picks to one team and then you swap picks for a player to another team. Ta-da "hockey trade" net result.
  26. No, RFA. Projected 8x$10.6M on capwages.
