  1. Past hour
  2. If that were the case he would have picked up his play two years ago.
  3. This one was more meaningful to me than the Chicago game. A couple more and I might start to believe. Cautious optimism. Zucker has made a big difference. The lines look more balanced now. If Norris ever comes back Östlund goes back down. Kesselring for Bryson, there's your full team. No idea what the goalie plan is as always but UPL made some good stops today. I'd be happy to never see Greenway again tbh. I don't know what happened to Samuelsson over the summer - maybe his dad told him he was a disgrace to the family name - but he's not the same player at all. He finally looks like the solid defender we wanted/expected and is kind of giving us what a lot of us hoped Kesselring would bring after the trade. In any event his play has changed things a lot. The biggest impacts on this team over last year are Doan being able to play top 6, Kozak being solid bottom 6, and most of all Samuelsson being solid. Refs were far too involved in this game and the Benson no goal was bs but there are tons of these every season, or even every week. It's just garbage but it is what it is and they overcame it so whatever. I've seen Carolina play better than that but all the same Sabres beat them today plain and simple. They were the better team. Now we see how long this lasts.
  4. I feel like we play Pittsburgh a lot near Thanksgiving and we do not fare well. too lazy to look it up though.
  5. Since he was activated, UPL has been the Sabres best goalie.
  6. I'm still trying to make sense of the Bills game in Miami (and Houston).
  7. Benny did indeed get his assist on the empty netter by Tage.
  8. They awarded it after the game.
  9. Overall good game, but by far the worst line was Tuch/Thompson/Doan for most of the game. Even strength they had 2 scoring chance for, 7 allowed. Their shots for/against, Fenwick, Corsi, Expected goals for/against....all were awful. McLeod, Zucker, Quinn by far the best line of the night in terms of analytics. Dahlin has the best analytics of all D-men on the game. https://www.naturalstattrick.com/game.php?season=20252026&game=20347&view=limited
  10. So nice to have Benson back in the lineup. Doesn’t matter who he plays with or in what situations, he plays the game the right way and finds ways to contribute. I think his energy is infectious, too.
  11. Ok because they said he was injured on the NHL Network broadcast
  12. That this how the Sabres should play every game. I really like Timmins. He reminds me every game recently of Toni Tydman.
  13. Tage 1 goal in the first 7 games... 11 in his last 15 games
  14. “Beating Carolina 4-1 might seem good, but…” -perreaultforever
  15. Of course... the game that I couldn't see. Oh well, if they get embarrassed by Pittsburgh blame me ...I'll be watching! Keep the streak alive...
  16. He might. Often times on the official scoresheet and NHL.com, they list goals as 'unassisted' for a few minutes before adding the assists. Its like they want to get the goal scorer up as soon as possible, and iron out the details a few minutes later.
  17. Why does Benson not get an assist on Tage goal? I’ll have to check replays
  18. Credit where it’s due. UPL played well today.
  19. 4-1 win just like everyone expected. Nice win, keep it going. On to the next one.
  20. Mental preparation, leadership, culture. We got Zucker back and now Benson - that helps.
  21. Shutdown Aho - check PP goal - check Quinner goal scored & active in the offensive zone - check ENG - check Sammy - +2, 3 registered hits - all solid - check showcase UPL for desperate team - check
  22. Can anyone make sense of beating the 3 good to great teams and losing to the bad one?
