  1. Past hour
  2. I don't. if you are Jarmo, or Kenny Holland, or Pierre Dorion, or God knows who, this might be your fastest ticket back to a GM seat. If Adams succeeds, you can sell yourself as a guy who helped finally turn it around in Buffalo. If he doesn't you could find yourself steering the ship by Christmas. Short of an actual GM job offer, or a similar offer from a better franchise, this is a great opportunity.
  3. Weber is a Ruff guy, call him associate coach to get out of the contract. Feeling but yeah, he is no soft guy
  4. Why do the majority of Bills fans hate Gabe Davis?
  5. Does Kevyn think he’s done anything wrong?
  6. Will he try this time? He didn't last time.
  7. Kevyn Adams is still GM... thus I would do nothing... I do not want him to reek any more destruction on this team than is absolutely necessary... I have zero faith that he will do anything but make the team worse with any move that he makes... but we all know that is not gonna happen.... he got the shovel... he gonna dig that hole..
  8. Mike? Inside info, or a feeling? is his contract up in St. Louis? I could see it, given organizational connections and trends, and the need to replace Wilford.
  9. We’ve reached the hilarious point of the Sabres offseason. Does it matter to anyone that he mailed in his season in Buffalo and is now hired to return? Like he walked into the job interview, took a big dump on Kevyn’s desk, and said “I made a poo poo for you”.
  10. Other than height, the two players are totally different people. Tage did not just get older and naturally “fill out”, he actually worked out like a maniac. He was seriously weight training for several years before he broke out as a player. The 2019-20 season he was unfortunately injured in the season opener, but prior to that season he really put the work in. His payoff finally came the year after Covid. He is known to be very dedicated to his craft. Power is a more natural talent, but he has a lot of work to do to become a top NHL defenseman. Waiting to “fill out” is not the answer. He needs to work a lot harder in the off season and play a more emotional and physical game. He needs to get invested in winning. Right now he is miles away from becoming even a top twenty-five defensemen in the NHL. His game is not anywhere close to the promise of a 1OA. That may be unfair, but it’s the reality of it. He is a 1OA with a huge contract. Power is young but he is not inexperienced. He was already played 242 games at 22 years old. It is time for him to take a step up. We can’t wait 4 more years to “fill out”. Any player his age can get stronger in the off-season, and he really needs to do that. The time is now, parts of his game simply have to improve, he is a liability on defense and he stinks on the PK. When Dahlin was hurt neither Power or Byram stepped up. Everyone but Adams realized when that trade was made that there is not enough ice time or cap money to keep them both along with Dahlin. Looks like Power is the choice for Adams. Ok, now Power better prove himself worthy. And Adams better get a good player back for Byram. This team is just so poorly managed.
  11. The Engineer of the Titanic thought the same thing
  12. Glad they are adding more minds and eyes to the hockey department. Not surprised to see it's another guy from Kevyn's existing circle and doubt there was any kind of search. (Sigh)
  13. Wasn't sure if that should get the cry or awesome emoji; but went with the positive one.
  14. Don't be surprised if Weber is in the fold by Draft Day
  15. I'd say Adams is 99.9% chance of making the pick, I mean he doesn't want to block all the talent am I right?
  16. What's the wwii movie with cagney and fonda about a palm tree? Mr Robert's War? Something like that.
  17. Curious how Karmanos and Ventura react to the recent news. Guessing that it isn't THAT big of a deal if they bolt for greener pastures as having them in town for the last 4 or so years hasn't appreciably affected the results on the ice. But, still, expect their leaving would be another bad thing to happen in this "offseason of hope." Maybe they're cool with the changes. But, personally would expect they want to get closer to the GM chair themselves, not farther from it.
  18. I think the key here is.... Changes to the coaches that he inherited... the fact that they are all still here in the same positions that they were tells me what I need to know about the power of Ruff... either he has no power... or his power and vision is not going to move us forward... I suspect its the former...
  19. Have at it.
  20. Like I said better or worse, but it is least a change.
  21. Hilariously timed. I guess they do read this site
  22. I've advocated this but I don't think this is what's happening. I thought Ruff into a POHO/Senior Advisor role and/or one of the assistant GMs he's worked with comes over as GM. If it were Ruffs ship to captain I'd assume we'd hear about shanges in the coaching staff. However, I do think that Ruff did have his hands in getting rid of Cozens and adding Norris, Zucker, and McLeod I just don't think it's the dramatic shift you're implying.
  23. Are Taylor Hall and Ryan O’Reilly coming back into the fold as well? I don’t like Kevyn Adams at all really but this will move him from incompetent boob to out of touch ignoramus.
