  1. Past hour
  2. And still got that exact thing in round 3
  3. I'm fine with it. According to my ex-roommate from Pittsburgh I texted, he's very good on D. Solid guy. I lied to him about Clifton.. 😁 Keep trading. Bet they're not done at all.
  4. Just saw some videos of Aitcheson. Let’s trade Mrtka for that guy.
  5. Robertson is not a free agent.
  6. Except he passed on some big (and mean) RHD at the top of the round to trade for cast off RHD and he shipped out our own tiny RHD and dumped the soft one last year so are we actually any better???
  7. Rimpinen to Kings as no 152. I consider that a steel.
  8. This trade is a confusing head scratcher for me. I could almost understand trading Clifton for Timmins, but then trading a 2nd round pick for an ECHL defenseman doesn't make sense. I think Pittsburgh got the better side of the trade for sure. Kevyn Adams is dumping salary successfully and Pegula seems fine with that.
  9. Philly going big, mean and nasty all over the place. Broad Street Bullies might be coming back. Talk about a team thinking opposite to the Sabres.
  10. Isn't Timmins the guy the Bruins absolutely destroyed in the playoffs and hence Leafs dumped him? I might be remembering the wrong guy, but if that's him he was BAD. I don't know much else about them. Clifton would have been better to be a deadline dump and I bet you Pittsburgh gets at least a 2nd for him at the deadline but whatever. I liked the D depth with Clifton at the bottom better than now but I guess our quota for guys who hit on D is one max. aside - (Only the Sabres however. Only the Sabres could produce a video with Alex Tuch telling a kid he gets to announce the 2nd round pick and then turn around and trade away the 2nd round pick so the kid announces the 3rd rounder. It was a nice moving story and which pick it is probably doesn't matter to the kid who gets the insiders tour and all that but really? Bush league with the video. )
  11. "Arguably the most violent player in the class, with the mobility, reach, defensive traits, and bloodlust to develop into a tremendous play killer.” EP
  12. At this rate Rome wouldn't be built yet
  13. Samuel Meloche is not related to former California Golden Seals goalie Gilles Meloche.
  14. I do not believe Kekäläinen would be a part of the organisation if there is an internal cap. Every trade probably still needs mr Pegulas blessing. That way Pegula can keep control. That is what I think. They still need improvment on every positions so I hope I am right. Otherwise there is only small chances to playoffs imo.
  15. I'm not apologizing for him, I just don't care about 2nd round picks after 14yrs of no playoffs.
  16. Bolded- I'm actually good with that too. There are a lot of veteran NHL dmen that get multi year 4-5m contracts for being just that
  17. At least it seems they realize this and are actively starting to address it. Rome wasn't built in a day. lol
  18. Since when? You were bitching and moaning all season long with the rest of us. How quick we forget!
  19. Agree. While I do like watching the games, for me the 'building of the team' is almost as fun, sometimes more fun than the games themselves. There are race car drivers, and their are mechanics that build the race care. More often I find myself a bit more interested in watching the car get built and learning how its built than always watching the guy drive it in circles for 3 hours.
  20. Live look at Mitch Marner and Darren Ferris when Buffalo calls
  21. I’m really hoping this is the case since they’re acting like they just made it to a Stanley Cup final.
  22. I think we can all agree the roster construction was poor. These moves help them move in the right direction to alleviate that. All of that said....they NEED a top 6 f or c before mid July....and a decent goalie add. I'm just going to enjoy seeing how this plays out over the next week. This is a fun time of year.
  23. Upon further looking at NHL edge, other analytics numbers, his basic numbers, some highlights posted here, some discussion on the leafs board, some discussion here, and most importantly (for me), me remembering talk about him or watching him with Toronto, my summary of all that regarding Timmins is (and of course I could be totally wrong): -Good skater but very slow (kinda like Jeff Skinner but slower) -Decent size but not an overly physical player, but can use his size for positioning. -Decent accuracy to his shot but not hard shot at all. -Doesn't like to carry the puck. He'll get it passed to him and move it quickly by passing it up to a forward. -Pretty good decision maker in the offensive zone. He knows his limitations and will get the puck to players in better position. Overall, not high on the raw skills, not an aggressive player physically, not aggressive in the offensive zone, or the defensive zone, but willing to play his position and the role asked of him.
  24. THAT makes me feel old 😃
  25. Just wanted an "attitude adjuster" or a few of them For far too long the strategy against Buf has been to "go for the kneecaps" (so to speak) when being outplayed by Buf. Lucich's cheapie on Miller still haunts this team (even with John Scott single-handedly ending the goon era by rearranging Thorton's noggin the following season). Buffalo, the hockey club, has a serious lack of jam/grind/moxie/toughness, whatever you want to call it. I'm not suggesting that they become a modern day Syracuse Bulldogs. Just swap out some of our "skill" for some much-needed grit! Hopefully, this off-season, with the moves being made, is doing that? Ultimately, I'm not convinced Adams is capable of constructing a "team" so, hopefully, Jarmo is being given the authority to put his stamp on the product? 15 effing years of limp-d!ck hockey is waaaaay too much, IMO!!! C'mon Terry, give us back our lust for the Sabres...
