ROR and Dahlin never even got to play together. ROR might've regained some love of the game with a summer to cool off and bringing in kid-Rasmus and a new PP. With Ullmark, that's not a terrible core and Eichel improving every season. Instead, yet another monster hole appeared in the lineup.

Matthew Fairburn Latest Article regarding Terry Pegula and Adams

It's a good article. General, almost all the backstory except maybe the 1-year handlings of Reino and Ullmark and others by JBott and ditching ROR which all contribute to Eichel saying, "No thanks" once Adams comes in and wants to rebuild -- thus the trade request pre-injury. But it's objective, and won't lose Fairburn his interviewing or team access, and you know exactly where the issues lie if you're a general NHL article reader. Well done overall. There's a part 2 of the article that Fairburn simply can't write because he's the beat guy. But those of us that are Sabres-idiots know that 2nd article already. -
Dallas has no 1st until 2027 and no 2nd until 2026.

Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block
DarthEbriate replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
Yup. That does it for me and that's a solid pull of Dallas' cap and futures. I'd be reluctant to move Helenius or Wahlberg because the Sabres need something on the Rochester callup list after Rosén moves on or is already up for an injury. -
Well in fairness Skinner is really just a depth black ace with Edmonton and he wouldn't even see the ice if not for the Hyman injury. Montour's a funny one. Very specific skill set and he needs to be on a highly structured team for real success. We were a loose wide open mess and so he looked seriously flawed here and constantly out of position. He was not great in Seattle that also lacks that Florida structure. I think Dahlin could win a cup in Toronto. He's the piece they are truly missing. Reilly is not the PP QB they need. I'm not suggesting anything just looking at where he'd fit or be needed most among contenders if he insisted on getting out.

Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block

That's fair. I'd say those guys are wait 3 years not 5 but I get your point. As I said, I'd make the deal anyway. I'd consider it a winning trade for Dallas but it wouldn't matter as our roster would be better now. -

The issue being Norris is also a shooter. At that point, you need a true distributing center to be between them. But it would work. But Robertson-TNT could make a lot of centers look really good. -

I doubt they'd want to send a D prospect back given their D situation. I'd take picks back from them and then use that draft capital in further deals like Robertson or Dobson or whoever. Adams has to stop the foolishness of looking for "hockey trades". You trade your player for picks to one team and then you swap picks for a player to another team. Ta-da "hockey trade" net result. -

No, RFA. Projected 8x$10.6M on capwages. -
I'm not interested in waiting 5yrs for Bear or Martin when I can have Robertson. Robertson for Peterka, Martin, and Östlund wouldn't even give me pause. None I can see. https://puckpedia.com/team/dallas-stars

Does Robertson have a no trade clause?

Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block
PerreaultForever replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
Yes I said that because of the "throw Byram in". I think Peterka, 9 and Östlund is rich and marginally too much but I'd still do it. I have no interest in them "winning trades". I want them to add roster players. It's the 9th overall that gives me pause. I'd certainly do Peterka, Östlund and a 2nd (throw in Rosen if you want as I think he's a bust anyway). Or 2 seconds. If that 9th pick becomes Martin or Bear it feels less appealing. -

I don't trade for Robertson unless I can get an extension in place before consummation. That's too like Skinner to go awry for the long-term. But a slightly cheaper Peterka LW for a more expensive Robertson LW would be a good starting point for both GMs to begin to construct something. Robertson-Norris-TNT is a legit 1st line, with Norris being the weakest link. But a 2C can easily float with two big 40-goal scorers. -

I've been meaning to check the rafting there for many years. Is there a draw there beyond that?

I like Benson a lot. He shouldn't be playing on the top line at this early stage in his career. Both JJP and Kulich have played on the first line. Those were advanced roles that they really didn't earn. That's not to say that eventually that they won't be top line players but playing them at those higher roles was an indication that the roster was not full enough to play these youngsters where they should have been slotted at this time.

I was in med school, residency, and fellowship from 2001 to 2012. Like you, I remember very little. Like those years somehow vanished. I do remember a bunch of people above me acting like total ***** though. -

This place needs a little cheer with all the doom and gloom threads! My apologies if this has already been hashed out, but where do the Sabre-Space Cadets like to go for a summer day trip? I'm thinking no more than an hour or so from the arena. My favourite from here on the Canadian side of the border is a bit of a sentimental pick. I grew up in the area and still only live 20min away. It's the Port Dalhousie area of St Catharines. Rush fans will know the area from their song Lakeside Park, which is the beach / park on Lake Ontario that the village centers around. Neil Peart wrote about what it was like to grow up in that area. I'm quite a bit younger than Neil, but I cut my teeth down there in the 90s, which was the heyday of the Port Dalhousie bar scene. It's a lot quieter than it was back then, but it's a great place for a family picnic, a day at the beach, or to take a ride on the historic 5¢ carousel. It's busy, but never too busy. There's quite a few good restaurants in the area, and has some pretty good fishing. If you've got young kids, pack the picnic basket and have a fun day at the beach. If you've got a significant other, go for dinner and drinks and take a romantic walk on the pier. So there's my spot... Who's else wants to share?

He’s a RFA next summer-the cap is projected to increase to 104 in 2026-27 and 113.5 in 2027-28. Most likely DeBoer is gone first
