  1. Past hour
  2. He has shown the only time he really plays well is when he has to fight for something, so this is actually the exact situation he does well in based on previous history. It's when they give him the unquestioned starter's role next year again that he will struggle as per usual (if they do).
  3. As expected. The plan this year seems to be: Sabres win, you get the next one (unless it's a back to back); Sabres lose, next man up. Hoping he plays well and gets his head back on straight. He could be good for a month or 2 if he does. Not expecting he'd stay on pace much beyond that because even though they have 2 other guys that have shown they're NHLers that should be able to spell him should he get good; that they'd still ride him until he drops. And, it seems quite difficult for him to get his head back on straight once he does drop.
  4. I don't Probably won't have it until closer to game time.
  5. Yes, yes, give him all the games….. Anyone have a scouts list in attendance tonight? FIFY
  6. I'd rather be in San Jose.
  7. UPL is in the starters net for the morning skate.
  8. On IR for the Penguins: Jarry, Rakell, Acciari, Brazeau, and a couple guys named St. Ivany and Hallander. Day-to-day: Rust and Koivunen. 3-4-3 in their last 10 and losers of 5 of their last 6. Knock them down, then kick them all the way down to the McKenna Sweepstakes. Go win this game.
  9. Canucks got nothing I want on the Sabres roster.
  10. So, wouldn't that be a good place to get over 0.500?
  11. Pittsburgh is one of those weird teams the Sabres usually either play really well against and win or really bad against and lose. I don't recall very many "OK" games recently against them.
  12. Don't trade for Quinn Hughes unless you're a contender. He's walking to the Devils at the end of next season and the acquisition cost would be pretty ridiculous. But it's nice to dream that Byram+ a couple things would get you Hughes for all of 2026-27 -- as you're 100% likely to lose either of them in July 2027.
  13. Today
  14. I thought you were a past is prologue kinda guy. The new barn and the demolished Igloo across the street are two of the biggest houses of horrors in Sabres history.
  15. Yes. He's their highest-paid forward (and will likely be for at least 2 more seasons if Tuch doesn't get re-signed) and is tied for the longest term with Thompson. And curretntly, he's also near-untradeable unless you have retention. No GM wants to acquire a 2C who only plays in 10% of his games (which his current rate since joining the Sabres). He's a core player, even if by default.
  16. Pittsburgh is giving out gravy Zambonis to fans. The Sabres did the same and went on a 13 game losing streak. Hopefully the curse is transferable to other organizations as Detroit is doing the same thing.
  17. And he missed 18 of 21 last season. He's played in 4 of 43 possible Sabres games and he's finished 2 of 43. If TNT can play center defensively to Ruff's satisfaction, then you keep rolling him there because Norris cannot trusted to play. And if he does play to his potential and remains healthy -- awesome.
  18. Don't ruin my Thanksgiving. Win !
  19. Hard to call a November game a must win, but this team HAS to get above NHL 0.500 while it's still merely a slog to get to NHL 0.600 and not requiring a nearly miraculous run to get there. Pittsburgh seems as good a place to get over 0.500 as anywhere. Hoping we see Lyon, but fully expecting UPL between the pipes. Maybe he's finally in a good spot in his own head. Guess we can hope.
  20. If I remember, he is always a guy that gives the Sabres fits and scores against them or at least causes goals to be scored against them.
  21. Will we encounter a Thanksgiving miracle and see the Sabres win 3 in a row???
  22. I saw it on the sportsnets dere.
