I meant by his ability to will the team to victories. Not verbally approached Beane. The question is more about Beane’s ability to recognize the talent in the moment.

Absolutely terrible on the defensive side. They gave way too much space to their forwards for the first half of the game. Defensive zone giveaways (counted or not) killed them. Seemed half the game one of two DMen were caught in the O-zone. Lucky that didn’t blow the game open for MTL. Offensively I have one question. Do Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch still play for this team? Thompson had a couple good moments and Tuch was non existent in this game. When the Sabres applied pressure MTL had glaring defensive breakdowns. Sabres couldn’t make that a regular thing because of pucks bouncing off their sticks or making off balance passes that killed plays. Lyon again gave this team a chance and they ****** him. Edit: I give Thompson credit for dropping the gloves. Second game in a row Dahlin was literally attacked. At some point Dahlin needs to fight back himself.

Sorry to destroy your buffet table.

I think the Dodgers may sweep them though... Hope I'm wrong, but they are a wagon

At this rate, Tuch is hurting his bottom line with his stat lines of Ultimate Zeros

Not sure what your point is. Are you suggesting that all the teams carrying a tough guy are doing worse because of that tough guy and would be doing better if they replaced that tough guy with what? a speedy little prospect? and the Rags are ahead of us. maybe so, but you have to admit the last 3 games were much better than the first 3.

We lost another game

I’m actually starting to believe the Sabres may have the horses to make a playoff run IF they could clear out ALL the coaches and GM. If we had a GM and coaching staff that actually knew what to do with this team, we might be closer than I originally thought. The sooner Adams, Ruff and company are gone, the better. Hopefully our mentally challenged owner wakes up sooner rather than later. But I wont hold my breath. Montreal and Detroit have passed us in the rebuild phase. That is 100% on ownership, management and coaching.

0-3 start and falling to 2-4 is going to make this game feel worse than it was Pretty bad first period but really good compete from there on out, however it was also met with a really good game by their goalie as well. Felt pretty even after the first though. The Red Wings game will feel massive because of the slow start, can’t drop another 2 in a row after already starting 0-3. Desperately need Tage to get going. In a vacuum if you focus on the play this season and only the play this season so far, the doom and gloom doesn’t make sense in my opinion. Taking into account the lackluster offseason, the 14 year drought and the refusal to fire Kevyn Adams, I understand it. However, I’ll choose to be optimistic instead, and I’ve seen 5 good games, the Colorado and New York games included as they played well through the first 2 periods and just fell apart in the third after not seeing results. All in all, I’ve still got hope they can sneak in in a weak year in the East. On to the next.
