  1. Past hour
  2. https://www.realtor.com/news/real-estate-news/fannie-freddie-vantagescore-fico/ Looks like Trump pushed forward with something that was started under the Biden administration? Did not have that on my bingo card...
  3. It’s a brutal story and there is obvious trauma on Linus’ part. Look into it. Don’t be a dick.
  4. McLeod is somewhere between a 3rd and 2nd line player. Florida is basically built with guys who some team thought were 4th and 3rd liners and Florida was like... well actually
  5. Yesterday
  6. This is called anchoring. Look it up.
  7. Right, because his father's death is connected to Buffalo how exactly? His dad couldn't live knowing Terry was the owner? I think it's fair to say athletes say anything when they make a change to make it seem like a positive change. Look at Peterka's comments in Utah. You think that isn't manufactured to fit the narrative? Yes he wanted out, but there's no way he sat back in Germany and thought, Utah, ya, that's where I want to be. The bottom line for me is KA botched goaltending then too. If Ullmark wasn't interested in signing why'd he protect him? Why didn't he grab one of the goalies that was free at that time? It makes no sense unless KA was sure he could sign him. So Linus lied to Adams and then told the truth about his father after? It simply makes no sense on that level. At the time, Boston fans were livid and thought Ullmark got grossly overpaid. Hindsight.
  8. That's a good point/question to consider. Maybe social norms at the times too. Take Clinton, for instance. I think he was a great president (even though he was horrible for the military), but i don't think he could have survived that scandal in today's climate.
  9. Sorry, but you are delusional. He's a third liner.
  10. I agree. I realize there is a star a couple yrs out likely at the top of the draft, but Robertson is a star now, and even if you finish last overall, the odds of getting that star is, what, 25%? Robertson is pretty much what the rest of the first round will have as a target for performance. This team needs the fully prime elite talent, not a new timeline for KA to follow.
  11. I’d be curious to see if a Verona winner has ever played less games than that in a full season. … or at least in the “modern” era where the trophy goes to one goalie.
  12. I think it would take the 2026 first (maybe top 3 protected) + Quinn + Helenius in order to get Robbie. They would ask for Benson and/or Kulich instead of Quinn.
  13. I’ll give you five million and one dollar!
  14. Didn’t he come back to the organization years later?
  15. And with their roster I don’t think they have any need for Byram. And unfortunately Kevyn doesn’t know how to do something like a 3 team trade to make it work.
  16. Would they be able to get away with a protected 1st?
  17. If you are getting Robertson you give that first and you don't even think about it, you are getting a 100 point player in his prime! The fans that you would win back and the good favor with players would be immeasurable! With Robertson in this line up there is no way its not a playoff team/contender. And they would want im sure Quinn and then a butt load of futures. I doubt they would want Byram
  18. You're actually proving my point. When Kesselring played up the lineup you yourself showed he played better.
  19. What harm could it do? I stan this decision!
  20. Not that I'm aware of. Georgia's qb did a car dealer nil and drove a Lamborghini around. CCM or whatever would seem similar.
  21. The Sabres ended up getting a defenseman in the trade to help shore up a unit that needed buttressing. With the Sabres, he will be 20 minute player. The critical issue isn’t so much what his role was with Utah as it will be what will his role will be with the Sabres. It’s likely to be substantial.
  22. He was honest. Given the circumstances (the key here), it was time to move on. I wouldn’t have expected him to say anything different than “I needed a change in scenery.” It’s why we all take new jobs. It wasn’t animosity against the sabres; they allowed him to go back to Sweden mid-Covid season to mourn his father’s passing. They even told him take as much time off as needed. In the end, it’s just the Bruins offered him a better contract and KA wouldn’t budge. I wouldn’t expect him to be forthcoming about the negotiation details that occurred, so he jumped to Boston and said he needed a new start. Not exactly a lie. But probably not the whole reason.
  23. What makes your team better? The TOI basically proves my point that Kesselring is a 3rd pairing D on mediocre Utah squad and we are now asking him to be a 2nd pairing D on the terrible Sabres squad. What could possibly go wrong?
  24. Just wanted to add, Vet defenseman tend to be utilized heavily over less experienced defenseman. Also handiness is wrong for a 1 to 1 comparison. Most Dmen are worse on their offhand so would you rather play a vet LHD 20 min and a solid young RHD 13-15min or play a solid young RHD on his off-hand for 20 min and either bump Cole to the lower pairing or to his offhand at 13-15min?
  25. Minus our 1st, however I’d also be less inclined if he’s looking for 12+ mil a year. Re-signing Tuch would still be the priority
  26. I wish we’d call Teppo or Tallinder and see if either or both would like some sort of part time advisory role to teach our many Dmen the tricks of the trade. If Power, especially, could learn Tallinder’s skill at positioning he’d be a monster defensive presence without laying a single check. He’d just be a giant blimp that covers half the zone and creates problems for anyone trying to move into and around the zone. Ironic, the Swedish kid plays with an edge while the good ole Canadian boy plays like the “typical” European defenseman.
