Yea, I have stated a bunch I think they're a 85ish pt team. I think in the prediction thread I gave them 95pts and playoffs but quite a few have been saying this team is roughly the same but with good goaltending. -

Lindy lost a brother young (Swift Current Broncos) and had a kid with cancer. He gets it. -
Maybe because McBeane proved themselves to be worthy of little to no supervision. And Beane is always willing to let Terry hang out at and play with the cool football team. On top of all that Terry and Kim mixed in well with the NFL owners and NFL elite, but that is not how the NHL works.

Not sure Iād shoe shopping should be on the list of things to search for but perhaps during his time looking for some new kicks he can also dig into his soul a bit. š Damn beat me to it -

To be fair, he did say āsole searchingā. Maybe he thinks Dahlin is a foot guy. -

I should couch it as a worst-case fear and 99.5% unlikely to transpire, and I admit it is abhorrently cynical. But I've seen companies retaliate against employees before. And in the NHL/sports-world, it's easy to positively spin a trade as doing what's right for the player and "needed a change of scenery". It can even become a mutual agreement. But behind closed doors, it's just suits saying we can: Lose just as easily and we weren't winning with him Get a ton of assets for next season's GM to work with Extend our new core and culture of Tuch, Benson, Doan, and Kesselring Power's salary will be justified if he gets 50 points because of PP1 time Let the owner focus on the fun Bills and push that pesky hockey expectations can further down the road -

Obviously I don't know the details of her surgery and recovery process, but I assume there are different restrictions for short flights and intercontinental ones. -

Didn't know that. She must have driven back to Sweden from France then. -

OR They rally, they hang in there, and stay in the race. It would be nice to get healthy and still be in the race. It would be nice to cheer for something for an entire season. They need new hero's every night. It is team game and they need to hang in there together. -

I'm glad he's doing this and I can't be bothered to try and assign a reason why he's doing it, let alone the timing of why he's doing it. At least not in a way that would attempt to explain HIS thinking. I think there's plenty of people who are attempting to explain HIS thinking when they are really explaining THEIR thinking as they pretend to be in the situation. So, in the vein of throwing out wild ideas. He realized that they needed a roster spot so Geersten doesn't need to be waived and they can keep 3 goalies on the roster. Or.. he fondly recalls those games in Sweden in 2019 and realized it was the 6 year anniversary and decided he wanted to go back to celebrate. Or.. I'm glad I have no reference to compare it to. I'm glad I'm not that much "stronger" for having to work through it. I can however honestly say I wish they never had to go through it either. I can't even imagine. -
Why do you think that players are more inclined to say "no thanks" here than with other franchises.

Lots of really nice people on this board. Nicer than me for sure. I kind of come away thinking people in Dahlin's pay bracket should probably have their significant others moving with them to where they work. I guess it's a little more complicated since they're not actually married yet. Would the Swedish hospitals be superior to the Buffalo hospitals? That said, I wish her all the best in her recovery. Hopefully this is not actually a setback and she's actually doing okay as the post suggested. -
Expect it's his turn as next man up. Would like to see Johnson get another crack at it should they need another Amerk callup.
- Today
-
Jones has been good with the Amerks and he's someone with NHL games under his belt.
-
Love this video and the way they fold the Van Morrison song into it. Welcome Zac Brown, uh, er Jones.
-
The only thing stopping Kev from spending to the cap are the players saying "no thanks."
-
Spending to the cap, a GM that has autonomy to make decisions and is not a company shill. I might be wrong but that's just what it appears to be on the surface
