I was flat on my face in the parking lot, keys in my pocket. Nice policeman gave me a choice, station or going to the hospital via Ambulance. it’s serious. One bad day, choice, change your life. I was many yrs sober. One day, one bad choice. That's an incredible level. If I may ask, what were you drinking and how much? When you were in the hospital did the medical staff just monitor you and let the alcohol level come down on its own? I'm simply a minor league drinker who after three drinks needs to be assisted. Hockey players are set into these dreams before they’re adolescents What on Earth are you talking about? Are you inferring that hockey players do not have any control over their lives and decisions? What does idolatry have to do with anything? If anything the player is even more drawn to playing hockey because of it, but it remains their choice. It sounds like you are indicating they have choice. Quote
BMWR100RT Posted September 25 Report Posted September 25 I am late to this story. Adam was one of my all time favorite Sabres. I know to be in the NHL you have to be elite, but there are differnt levels. Adam was the grinder that played every game like it might be his last. His energy was so great. As an athlete who had to play hard to make up for my average talent, I could relate to Adam's game. My least favorite players are the ones with all the talent that just float around. Adam wasn't that. I sure hope he gets the help he needs. 1 Quote

It was nice to see some understanding and compassion in this thread instead of pitchforks and holier-than-thou perspectives. If he wasnt on company time, and maybe even if we was, Adam Mair doesn’t and shouldn’t be fired. He should get some help and likely therapy because I’m assuming he’s as upset at Adam Mair as everyone else is. I guess the Sabres feel differently than you about this as he is now fired, as he should be. Quote
