On the other hand the trend seem to be speed at the moment, the focus is more on doing things in high speed than with strenght and weight. As examples of that rumours tell that Sasha Barkov lost over 10lbs during the summer to get faster, because the game is getting faster, and he is better than ever now. On the other hand, he was and still is a big guy. Notably, Gasparini was a longtime scout in the LA Kings organization. (From The Athletic). “His biggest strength is competitiveness and willingness to engage himself in the game physically and defensively. He moves quite well,” Gasparini said. “And I do think there’s a secondary offensive element to his game because he does shoot it so well. He’s a very direct and assertive offensive player. He wants pucks to the net.
