Rip Simonick Goes Into (sort of) Hall of Fame

It's a good recognition for the guy in his profession.

Some people have issues about numbers... I don't.

He's obviously a mainstay of the organization, along with RJ.  It's cool to see.

What number are they going to give him?

Even a banner in the rafters with the names of worthy off-ice non-management, non-coaching professionals would be a nice thing to do upon retirement.  Obvious guys: Darling, Rip, RJ, etc.  Maybe non-obvious folks: Bill Wippert, Stan Makowski.

A nice thing, and a very Buffalo thing: salute the unsung working man.
