It may be nothing more than a couple guys that didn’t get along. Could be. I don't have sources on this but I remember discussion on their boards being about off-ice irresponsibility. Could all be nonsense, or he could have fit in well on the Kings of a few years back. Kovalchuk is looking to be on a Stanley Cup Contender on the same type of deal that Patrick Marleau got, that pretty much eliminates the Sabres.
