Put him in the hall and move on while he's still looked upon fondly. Then immediately fire Neale. I read an article several years ago that compared the PbP guys in hockey. They said one thing that really stood out for me...something along the lines of "we like John Doe because he can excite the fans without having to scream at us like some other PbP guys". I hated him at first but i listened to him do a Portland Game on XM during the Olympics and he did a really nice job. On occasion he sounded just like a young RJ. I think when (if) he takes the job, by midseason, it'll feel like 1975 on the AM radio again. Side note.. i miss Gary Thorne.
