The Marty Biron trade creates $1.6 million in cap space. They get their backup goalie in Conklin. They still have needs to fill at D and Forward. If the LTI Tim Connolly today, they have $4.5 to spend this afternoon. Colorado and Florida have been scouting Buffalo for months... John Michael Liles and Milan Hejduk look very tast right now. Seriously, this team doesn't need any more scoring, we need defense. A nice defensive-minded centerman, or a stay at home d-man tops my list. If the Sabres LTIR TC they would have around 4.5 mil. Maybe I have bad math, but doesn't 3.8 + 1.25 come out to 5.05. We then would be around 550,000 over.
