  1. Eichel and Boeser in the 1st round would blow me away. Eichel and Provorov is way too much to ever hope for.
  2. Holy Crap, it's RUFIO!
  3. I don't hate this idea. I think it'd be cool if Perrault did it too.
  4. Where did we ever net out on if he's allowed to wear 99?
  5. I'd put that on Regier. The dude flat out said "Suffering" was the critical part of his plan. And he's the one who enacted the scorched earth policy that Murray saw to completion. If we're changing how the lottery works because we're PO'ed about Edmonton, just don't let the same team draft 1st overall if they've already drafted 1st overall in the previous 2-3 seaons. There, done.
  6. Well, he's not allowed to. So there's that. The NHL retired 99 league-wide to honor Wayne.
  7. Eichel already did. And Murray already came out and clarified his goofy statements from Saturday -- basically nailing it on the second try. So everyone's saying the right things today and we're looking good again. Now the debate is whether or not I'm an awful person for pointing out that the popular new GM said some stupid stuff that made me question him for the first time, and standing by that. Life is hard.
  8. Not sure what to make of the fact that you think there was ever a "benefit of the doubt" element to this. When he said something stupid, I said it was stupid. When he said something I liked, I said I was glad he did. That's about it. This wasn't about interpretation.
  9. Silver lining is that Eichel apparently handled this like a pro.
  10. Kaleta paid his dues. He earned it.
  11. Sorry, I find it really funny that you think the part in bold makes you look better. The rest is great too. "You have an agenda! And it started....TODAY! Yeah, that's it! You have an overall theory, I know it!"
  12. I've been online all day working up a presentation for tomorrow anyway. Might as well try to uncover the mysterious plot against Tim Murray that I am apparently at the center of.
  13. It's not a gambit when you literally misinterpret "And I'm glad he did it" as me saying he did something bad. Or take me to task for castigating someone and then say "oh, well I overstated" when I point out that literally zero castigation ever took place. (Pro tip: You can't "overstate" something that literally never happened. That's called "making **** up.") So far today you've misinterpreted very simple sentences to get the exact opposite meaning, imagined things happening that never happened, and accused me of having an agenda to bring down our GM based on me criticizing him literally once. Carry on though. We have a lot of time to kill until the draft and this is tremendous stuff.
  14. Are you able to read at all? Here's what I just wrote: I feel like most people would take the "And I'm glad that he did" as evidence that I liked what he did today. Not sure how you're misinterpreting that. Also, I never said I "don't" value his prepared statements. I said I put extra weight on what he said in the heat of the moment. And I do. He flubbed his first attempt to react to drafting second this year. He did a whole lot better with his statements today but I still wondering what he was thinking yesterday. Hopefully he's still learning how to handle his role as a GM because clearly taking a diplomatic approach would have been the best thing last night.
  15. So you're definitely a breast man....
  16. Yep. You're convinced I have an agenda against him because I criticized him once (i.e. over this). Makes perfect sense. GO SABRES!!!!!1! It was bad enough that he came out and clarified. And I'm glad that he did.
  17. "Overstated" meaning you just made something up out of thin air? And I love that you're still trying to sell this idea that I have a nefarious agenda to prove Murray can't do the job. I've literally criticized him on one thing since he's taken the job (this) and you're accusing me of plotting against him. Hilarious.
  18. Grigorenko scored a goal from Reinhart and Cornel. First professional point for Cornel and 3rd assist in three games for Reinhart.
  19. I spent all day assuming the national media would run wild with his comments. They did. To the point where he had to come out and clarify this afternoon. Sucks to find out I was right, huh? Look, I love your enthusiasm and the fact that you're still doubling down even after Murray himself decided to come out and clarify his remarks from yesterday. But, seriously, where am I further castigating him??? I wrote "Good. I'm glad he did this." a few minutes ago. Or were you reading something into that too? Was that part of my agenda?
  20. Your case was what? That the media should be nice and play fair? They're never going to. He came out and clarified all his remarks to ESPN this afternoon. I'm guessing he wouldn't have done that if he didn't think he played it wrong yesterday.
  21. Apparently not that weird since Murray came out today and clarified his comments. See above. I guess even he realized how his comments sounded in retrospect.
  22. Good. I'm glad he did this.
  23. Speaking of grasping at straws, the scenario in bold is a bunch of made-up nonsense from straight out of your imagination. At least the "Murray haters" in the thread are talking about actual quotes from yesterday, and not making "Gosh, I'll bet when this happens, then the haters will do this" arguments.
