Paul Hamilton and Mike Harrington on Twitter say Ennis is out for the game with an "upper body injury." Not really new info except that he's definitely not coming back (which we could have guessed).

So Ennis never came back, right? I assume they're checking for a concussion, etc.

Did anyone see if he's alright? He got cracked in the side of the head and went down pretty hard. We might have ended up with two head injuries because of that one play.

He was good for us last season and if he can come back and play well for 10 games or so, maybe we can trade him at the deadline for something decent.

I definitely relate to Vanek -- a perfectionist who gets frustrated when things aren't perfect. Probably my own worst critic professionally too. And even when things are going well overall, I pretty much have "Vanek face." I've been aware for a while that this feeds into why I like Vanek so much.
