  1. Not sure how to link it, but the Bills had Eddie Yarborough (sp?) do an Instagram live (?) takeover of their account. Not a novel concept, sure. But it was fun. Good choice in terms of the player selected.
  2. I guess? I like that sort of stuff to a point. But Ramsey's shtick strikes me as obnoxious (and fairly ill-informed). I mean, if I want that level of heel-ism, I'll watch pro wrestling.
  3. That guy is a terrific talent. And, by all indications, an incredible as.shole.
  4. Sorry to hear re Sekera. One of my favourite skaters to watch in the blue and gold, ever.
  5. There's a report out there - AP, I think (so, Wawrow) - that, per a source, the civil lawsuit isn't going to affect McCoy's status with the team. I'm not sure whether the source is a team or league source.
  6. When do the Sabres plan to celebrate theirs? During 2020-2021? I thought I'd read that there was a different way of counting things -- the number of season played, or the number of years in existence. Or something?
  7. Good stuff @Eleven -- it does appear as though McCoy's fat has been pulled out of the fire, for the time being. Then again, Goodell has proven unpredictable in handing down punishments of his own.
  8. Irrespective of whether theories differ, if the cops and district attorney are working toward an indictment, the civil side generally stands down.
  9. McCoy’s former girlfriend has sued him and her alleged assailant for her injuries suffered in that home invasion incident. This development seems inconsistent with the existence of a robust ongoing criminal investigation. @Eleven: Nah?
  10. I have no idea whether he's always just hitting his first read, or what. But given that he's officially been a professional for a few fresh weeks, and further given that patience has been preached for his development (long (enough) may that last!), might we pump the brakes on an apparent conclusion that Allen can't work through a progression?
  11. That's an interesting observation. I can't imagine that the sorts of infamous killers you've identified above would ever become grist for the mill like, say, the Mansons have become. But, given the passage of time, who knows. In recent years, I've noticed that snarky jokes with a 9/11 theme are becoming more and more commonplace -- I still stop short when I hear them. I also don't think that any of the mass shooters of modern times resemble Manson, or Jim Jones, or other similar cult leaders, in terms of how they went about doing what they did. Do you think there are points of resemblance there?
  12. A couple of throws that were wonky on his part? Maybe just the one? I think he's got a chance to develop into a good QB.
  13. I was at the stadium, and it was *fun* when the kid came out to start the 2nd half. The crowd (such as it was (decent)) rose to its feet and got loud. And then he damn near hit a huge play. Like I said: Fun. Also, I think that drive went three and out because of a dropped pass. Credit to the new OC. The QBs in the first half got a bunch of easy completions based on scheme, routes, etc. Yes, yes -- the D plays vanilla. But so too does the offence. The QBs executed very well. Also with regard to Allen's accuracy: I too saw nothing to suggest he'd be inaccurate. I mean, that 60+ yarder to start is incredibly difficult to hit. And the bomb that was missed in the end zone was not inaccurate -- that was a good ball that a guy like Coleman likely catches. That touchdown at the end? Supremely accurate. Lots of good balls from the rookie. The passes that looked bad were from poor decisions (I ain't worried) and what looked like some miscommunications (QB had the WR breaking to the sideline, but WR stayed inside, etc.). There were at least 2 bad drops, too.
  14. (Edit: The hats are apparently there, on another splash (?) page.)
  15. I went looking for those hats at the One Buffalo online store (they're not there, yet). In so doing, I came to learn, for the first time, that One Buffalo apparel has three designers: Jessie, Kelly, and Matt Pegula. https://shoponebuffalo.com/collections/onebuf In this way, the Pegulas start to resemble the Kochs.
  16. Also, and it occurs to me, that I'm not saying that smells trigger specific memories of specific instances or incidents. On the contrary (?), I think smell has a unique power to bring back more of an overall, synthesized memory, if you will.
  17. It is NOT different for everyone and you WILL agree that smell and memory are tied together like peas and carrots. I'll wait.
  18. Dear God those are ugly. And, not even "ugly" as in "yeah, so ugly that they're sorta fun." (Like, arguably, the turd burger.) Good job, good hustle, Jessie.
  19. Heavenly place. Cape Breton especially, for me.
  20. Good stuff. I've literally never even Googled it (and I could, but pfffft), but I am nonetheless *convinced* that the sense of smell is the sense that is most tied to memory. Jesus Christmas is it weird. I have so many examples. Case in point: I dated a woman in my college years who wound up being frickin' insane. Well, not insane like psychotic, but neurotic enough that she became really unhinged and unglued at times. She had a perfume that she wore each day -- and it was therefore a calling card of sorts. When I do happen to smell someone else wearing it, I immediately feel a surge of adrenaline, then a vague ... stirring (I'm just a man, after all), and ultimately a squeamish feeling of panic and dread.
  21. NASCAR country; NASCAR number.
  22. That very last bit in Harrington's Twitter bio hints at so much that is problematic about him. Hey, Mike: It is not about you. It isn't. Ever.
  23. For whatever reason, I failed to see it.
