It’s been a minute. Do people doubt that McDermott is the de facto chief football officer of this franchise? He effectively hired the GM. He’s the voice of the franchise. I think the issue with Pominville isn't how fast or quick he can be -- if fully rested, charged up, ready to go -- it's what his speed and quickness become after an extended stay on Eichel's and Skinner's line. I'm with @Taro T -- he just looks a bit gassed.

It is amazing how little value the colour commentator typically provides in an NFL game. I had to drive around much of east Egypt last night for various taxi cab/Uber services for children (mine). So I listened to Westwood One's call of the football game. Mike Mayock is a distinct exception to this deficiency. I'm not saying he's perfect or some savant, but he's good.
