Is trolling, without more, grounds for the ban hammer? News to me, if so. Also: I do not think pi trolls. He believes what he posts. I'm sure he engages in some exaggeration and hyperbole, as do we all, but I am confident he believes the substance/essence of what he posts.

I've read quotes from several players -- from the Swedish vet that came in from St. Louis (I'll get his name eventually) to the rookie Dahlin -- saying that Housley's practices this camp have been hard. I have no problem with the timing of the excursion. I also am surprised not atall that @pi2000 does.

I haven't looked at those clips. My point above is that Allen didn't even need to change the play on this one -- the play was properly designed to give him hot reads in the event the LBs vacated their area and came for him. Allen stayed locked-in on his 1v1 on the outside (which he saw pre-snap).

I think this makes sense.

Those guys did come free on a blitz -- but I think the player whose performance is most problematic in that clip is Allen. He's got to see those blitzers coming and make a different decision -- the play was designed to, and did in fact, give him safer, quick options.

They're different hits, different angles. IMO and IIRC, Campbell did not come in from Umberger's blindside (Umberger was going due north-south at the time). The Wilson hit is much closer to Neil on Drury than Campbell on Umberger.

That's what I saw -- he's coming in from behind. At the point of impact, he's essentially level with the opposing player, but that's just where the collision occurs. It's a blindside approach. I don't have any use for or need for this sort of hit. Yep - he knew perfectly well what he was doing.

Nah. Those eyes are way too level. Knuckled floater from the blue line was always a good bet to get it past Miller. HEY O!!

Yeah - talented and skilled people have become used to an unfortunate state of affairs.

The proverbial "side hustle," sure. But make no mistake: TBN is enacting massive cost cuts by hiring people on as independent contractors. It's unfortunate that a quality writer like Hoppe can't just be hired as an employee by a (formerly) major (mid-major) media outlet and be paid an adequate salary by that single employer. Instead, he's got to patch it together. I think that's an unfortunate turn of events for writers, generally, whether journalists or otherwise. Side note on side hustles: I chuckle to myself when I hear fellow Gen Xers talk about how millennials are lazy -- so many of those young 'uns work multiple professional jobs in order to make a life. That was not generally the case for my X peers when I was the age that millennials are now.
