  1. Sheesh. It occurs to me: There were a bunch of horse sh1t calls in that game. More than your average - maybe even both ways (?). That crew seemed like they were winging it.
  2. Hard to disagree that the play calling was poor in the redzone, as was the execution. But, again, scoring no touchdowns and never punting the ball? That's just weird. As for taking a deep shot: (1) We didn't have John Brown in the lineup. That matters. (2) We should probably applaud the fact that Allen was taking what the Defense was giving him -- that's exactly what the Bills need him to do. I was encouraged to see Allen dinking and dunking like he did. The CBS broadcast was horrendous - I waited in vain for some context on that "penalty."
  3. What a painful game to watch. But a win’s a win. I also agree with what Bulldog said in the post-game show. It seems sort of fluky (flukey?) that the Bills failed to score a TD because they moved the ball really well. And Allen looked good, as he should have I suppose. 300 passing yards, 60 rushing, and a 70% completion rate. Beat the Patriots.
  4. This is a good take on the Zemgus deal — it’s clear that Krueger really values him. We’re hitched to RaKru for the foreseeable future, so finger crossed that he’s right about the Latvian Locomotive.
  5. I asked a similar question upthread.
  6. I dunno. I just saw his big beefy ass body falling on someone for a TFL or sack last night, and I was like: That dude can fill space and move a bit. And for a fresh second, I thought maybe he overlapped with McDermott in Philly - but I don't think that's the case. But now that the Eagles won, and given that 6 wins will likely be enough to win the NFC (L)East, I am less confident that they'd be willing to move him.
  7. ^ Had the Eagles lost, I was hoping for a Fletcher Cox deal.
  8. Yeah, about that. (I mean, I am positive that he saw some zone in the first 4 weeks? (Eek))
  9. Thanks. I guess my question is whether there's clinical data tending to show that as well for this virus. My tiny non-scientific sample involves stories I hear about several cohorts of college kids. Right around the time of everyone being sent home in March, I heard several stories of college-aged kids getting pretty sick (all fully recovered, as far as I know) and, to boot, there weren't that many cases being talked about. Then this fall, the stories are more along the lines of dang near err wun getting the virus (well, in Ohio anyway) and no one's really getting that ill.
  10. Is there science associated with that being the case at present? Because anecdotally and non-clinically, that squares with what I am seeing, hearing, knowing in recent weeks, months.
  11. C'mon. Your absolute favourite? I call shenanigans. I have often explained to my kids when the topic comes up: Hasek was the greatest Sabre ever, full stop. But Perreault will always be my favourite Sabre. Always. Nice choice, and great reasons. This is a fun exercise. I think mine would be the same, except in the 80s I am probably going with Housley. And, come to think of it, I am going with Lafontaine in the 90s.
  12. My bad. There’s at least one write-up out there that misstates poster here who misread poster here who relied on a dubious source regarding the distance!** I’m not very confident in the kid, myself. The final score, to me, didn’t reflect how out of reach the game was for the Bills. They got fairly trucked. So, to me, 13-13 at the half would not have made much of a difference. Field goals rarely do that against Mahomes and co. **
  13. Missing a 58-yarder on a wet night isn't my idea of a kicker with a problem. Also, do you really think a tie score at half would've changed the game? I'm asking.
  14. Yeah, and no. I've heard and read many, many pundit types talk about how, at a minimum, Allen's upper body mechanics are so different this year that it portends consistency in his improved accuracy going forward. The apparent presence of underlying, fundamental changes to his play are something that give me comfort and hope.
  15. I think that overstates matters. He saw plenty of zone in the first four weeks. There's clearly been some tweaking of how teams are defending him, though - it's on him/them to sort that out. And I don't buy that it's beyond him to figure out what defenses are doing, showing. I'm not saying he'll get back to the scintillating pace of those first 4 weeks, but I'd bet on him getting more right than wrong.
  16. Interesting.
  17. No idea on that one. And it's not just tackling where his bum shoulder is hurting his play - Edmunds can't shed blocks either. The guy can be a game-wrecker when he's right.
  18. Long toss into the next phase of life, I reckon.
  19. If the Bills can’t figure out how to pressure the passer with a front 4, they’re not going to contend for much. Also, Edmunds playing with essentially one arm is hurting the defense a lot. Hopefully Milano’s feeling fit.
  20. This is a welcome development. Thanks for posting. Good to see Ronny Racs out in front of the matter - West Side!
  21. Interesting. I will say: They have a commercial litigator who's about our vintage -- and he is excellent. So there's that. It's just that ... it's a firm with such an unusual mix of practices. You'd think billionaires would insist on getting a more buttoned up white shoe firm -- not a firm with, among other things, historical ties to Larry Flynt and ongoing ties to the adult entertainment industry.
  22. Hmm. I'm off to look at who the filer is. Not for nothing: I have always found it so odd which local law firm they generally use. Nope. Don't know the guy. Impressive resume, though.
  23. Query also the concept of fair use. That said, I think Del does well not to use "Bills" in his #mafia gear.
