  1. I know it’s an opening request, but sheesh. Also: It seems like huge news that their new stadium plans are to build in OP.
  2. Class act, that guy.
  3. Haha - well done. I knew the yarn was total BS, but I didn’t know it was an internet trope!!
  4. As was expected. Not with Reich specifically - I mean generally. The vaccinations will greatly reduce severe illness in those who do have break through cases. They will also suppress transmission, which is really the bigger goal here. We can’t afford the development of a variant that is vaccine-resistant.
  5. Beasley’s 2020 production would not be readily replaceable. I regret that’s the case, given how he’s behaving, but them’s facts. I’m also cognizant that even 2021 Beasley may not replicate what he did last season. Dude had a helluva year.
  6. Searching “Reinhart” in Twitter is sorta wild right now — there’s lots of Sam rumours and a fair amount of fan account posts for a Lili Reinhart.
  7. Is Drury to the Sabres a relevant comparison? What was the return there?
  8. Can we get this pinned?
  9. What is this - the 80s?
  10. Minus the vaccination part is huge. That memo from the NFL has made it clear that the league will not accommodate teams with outbreaks, it will not re-schedule games, it will assign a "loss" to a team with a COVID forfeit, and may levy fines against that team for lost revenues because of the cancelation. Hopefully that sort of penalty scheme will influence any "logic and stats guys" out there who are still on the fence.
  11. This is wild (ha - sorry). The Flames did not protect their captain?
  12. That's what I've read. He's sorta undersized for the role, though.
  13. My last three (which were the first three in a while): I think this may be high brow chick lit? I dunno. I found the writing exquisite and the main characters compelling. It's apparently being made into a show of some kind. So good. Sorta blew my mind when I realized what the premise was. Another wonderfully written book about a star-crossed couple, of sorts. Plenty of veiled socio-political commentary there as well - artfully delivered. I read this, and then immediately re-read it. I found it "easy reading," but not in the way that true "pulp" is easy reading. I struggled with this one initially. Maybe because I didn't realize it was a memoir? I think it starts off choppily, struggles to find its footing. But now that I'm half-way through, I see what the fuss is all about. What a well-told, personal story this is - one that everyone in American would do well to hear/read.
  14. It may just be semantics, but the idea that Buffalo will make a decision on Eichel's surgery is ... something.
  15. I remember this very specifically. He sort of said it in a way that involved the whole room.
  16. oh, man. that 4th one especially.
  17. I heard that the Pegula fail-son designed a hat or hats, and that they are hideous. Anyone have a link?
  18. I am criticizing the position you staked out as revisionist in nature - post hoc and flawed. That's what disagreement is. That's what debate is. Try to keep up, Sparky.
  19. Revisionist history. This video from ~:50 onward has footage that accurately depicts the guy.
  20. I tend to disagree that he lacks charisma. It's there. It can be a little flinty, but it's there. I can't find that video of his first visit to the Buffalo area - total dog and pony show. There was the footage of him kneeling down to meet a kid in a hospital (points for the kneel!), whose name was Jack, and Eichel, obviously unscripted, turns to the PSE entourage and brightly says, "hey, guys, his name's Jack too!" Very sweet. I'm calling it genuine. Excellent take. Rural California -v- greater Boston. Very different sorts of cats. But there's lots of ways to skin them, so to speak.
  21. This evocative memory made me think of this internet classic. But, like, why take the time to do that?
