I'm not a Peters fan, but at the same time, I'm happy for him that he got the story before anyone else. Still, I'm not sure what he meant when he says he's "truly sorry for you all".
I'm guessing he thinks the compensation wasn't enough. As he knows the pain we as Sabres fans been over the last few years and it doesn't look like it's improving.

we get a decent player for Eichel?
Tuch is decent, if he could only stay healthy. Krebs is a question mark at this point.

The Blues have a player who wants to be traded, of course they would call Buffalo. After last time they'd be my first and second call also.
Tarasenko would make sense to be coming back in terms of money, desire for a trade and swapping damaged goods with money and term left but I don't really see how the Sabres are interested in that or how Tarasenko would be an even remotely happy camper. I also don't really see the Blues being willing to add in the other sorts of pieces that Adams has to be looking for. Any future picks would almost certainly be low, in terms of prospects who would we be looking at? Bolduc? Neighbours? Kostin?
I'm on one hand deriding the internet for throwing these things out there, then I'm giving it the time to think about it. I am part of the problem.
If Eichel ends up in Saint Louis with ROR I'll be sick as it be a what could have been situation here. The longer this draws out the more I get angry at the team and player similar to what happened with Mike Peca and Dominik Hasek.

Does Krebs have that much higher a ceiling than Mittelstadt?
17 hours ago, dudacek said:Wait, Mitts and Eichel for Krebs and lesser pieces? How good do you think this guy is?
He’s exactly the same age as Cozens, had half as many points on the same WJC team, and he’s got 1 assist in 9 NHL games.
I like Krebs probably more than any other prospect that might be part of an Eichel return, but his ceiling projects as a Sam Reinhart level player.
I meant Krebs and Tuch together in a trade. Personally I'd like Krebs, Dugan and two firsts.

I would take Krebs, Tuch and a first or even a second round pick for Jack. Tuch is on IR and his departing salary for Vegas would offset some of Jack's incoming salary. When Tuch gets healthy he is a first or second line forward for us. If you add Krebs to the group of Quinn, Peterka, Power and Samuelsson you can see the young core expanding in the not too distant future. These young players would thrive under the tutelage of Granato.
To get Krebs you'd probably have to throw in Mitts who personally not willing to let go after the way he finished last season. As I'm not sold on Cozens as a top 6 guy.

Dudacek beat you by over an hour ago with a different link on the previous page. 👍🏼
Edited to remove link but keeping my thoughts on compensation.

I'm not sure what Vegas is offering offering but some feel Peyton Krebs is untouchable yet to me he's the starting point. I'd also like Jack Dugan in part because he's a Rochester native.

Jack’s own agent is against the disk replacement, but Jack is for it. Not sure how this is going to end.
It's likely Jack gets moved out of town for less than market value and we'll all lament out how bad Adams handled this thing and cry for his head and remain a bottom dwelling team unless find away to draft and develop quality guys again or make some serious trades to improve us.

I knew his house in Buffalo was for sale, I assumed he was relocating to Washington. Yet think it's great he back with the Sabres organization as he one of my favorites but still angry about his hold out and eventually force trade to the Islanders.

Does he have a 100mph slapshot?
If he does it isn't accurate as he has ZERO NHL goals in 26 games played.

We are paying 1.5M for two goalies next year
Last off-season we got all our cheap guys on day 1 as recall. That said the only move I've liked thus far was the trade with New Jersey.

Dude, we're getting a Dell!!! PS we still need a starting goalie.

I know the reports Minny is out on Eichel but maybe we can give them a mid rounder for Kaapo Kähkönen and sign some gray beard to split time with him.

Krebs can certainly have a Peca-type ceiling. And Hague’s upside can be McKee.
Yeah I just don't like Hague, I see him as a Wilson aka bottom pair Dman.
